Sunset 96, Mariners Cay is ideally situated in the far corner of the Mariner's Cay compound giving guests a panoramic view of the Folly River all the way to Kiawah Island. Nothing can compare to the colorful sunsets from the screened porch. Mariner's Cay is a gated community of residents and renters, which offers guests not only a swimming pool and tennis/pickleball courts but also is only minutes away from the beaches and walking distance to the funky town of Folly Beach. The privacy and lack of traffic is perfect for small children and teenagers.

The first "Wow" moment happens when you first open the door and see the amazing openness and views. The next "Wow" moment comes at sunset when one must hurry to the screened porch and allow him/herself to be awed.
As can be seen by the photos, the unit has a large, main bedroom with a king size bed opening onto the porch; and two additional bedrooms with queen beds. The open living area has a large flat screen smart HDTV, Bose system, and DVD player. Apps available for guests' to use personal logins.

The property truly has a million dollar view yet is affordable to all. It's all about location. Owners have totally redecorated and updated. Entire building has had reconstructed porches and new siding. All updated in 2023!

We guarantee our cleaning service continues to follow all sanitation guidelines. We feel our new standards go above and beyond the recommended procedures in an effort to make our guests feel welcomed and safe. This home has a 5 star rating partially due to the outstanding cleanliness with all the many amenities. New linens and towels are changed regularly along with the interior freshly painted.

Enjoy the extended porch as you watch dolphin and sailboats or wading birds feeding in the marsh grasses. Enjoy the full water views to Kiawah and James Island from the living area, kitchen, and main bedroom. Located close to the beach but without the tourist and noise.

This island condominium will slow you down and make you relax. It is all you need to unwind. Nothing has been overlooked. Owners take pride in providing guests a home away from home with comfortable beds, plush towels, and many extras. Romantic for a couples retreat, family vacation, or girls/guys get away.

This is a perfect place for Citadel and College of Charleston parents to stay for visits and graduations. Visit Folly Beach and nearby Charleston for the many festivals and celebrations or visit the many historical sites and forts. The music is always wonderful in Folly Beach or check out The Pour House and Charleston Music Hall. You may also enjoy the nearby shopping in Charleston and outlets. This location has something for everyone.

Laid back is the best way to describe Folly Beach. Life on Folly Beach follows a fun, relaxing pace. During the winter, it is a small town at the end of I26. In the summer, it is a vacation destination. Locals proclaim, “We have the best waves, the best nightlife and the best beach atmosphere along the Charleston Coast...don’t tell anyone.”

Folly Beach is home to the famous Morris Lighthouse, colorful locals, sand, sun, and some of the best surf on the East Coast. Also home to many species of endangered wildlife. Folly is a nature lover’s dream complete with a maritime forest and dolphin filled waters. Due to the abundance of outdoor activities and water sports, this normally sleepy beach town comes to life during the warmer months, welcoming visitors and locals alike to water ski, kayak, fish, crab, and surf. Folly offers the best of both worlds with six miles of beach on one side and equally stunning river views on the other.

For many Folly is considered “Charleston’s beach” because it is located just 8 miles from the historic peninsula. Although it’s close to all the great things Charleston has to offer, once you cross the Folly River, you feel a world away. A dazzling combination of bohemian style and laidback hospitality make this quiet little beach town a true gem on the “Edge of America”.

High school reunion

This property was beautifully decorated. It was close to the downtown area, restaurants and bars. It was about 3/4 of a mile to the beach. The beach area was absolutely beautiful. We were only about 20 minutes away from downtown Charleston. Too bad there wasn’t a tiki bar at the pool.

Friendly Folly Beach Town

A beautiful home with peaceful views of the water, boats, and wildlife. The home is beautiful, updated, and has everything you need. Just a short ride to the beach and the pool wad wonderful for the kids. The communication was excellent and provided all the details needed. Folly is a special place to visit!

Really enjoyed our stay at Linda's place, great location, amazing view and the condo was gorgeous, newly updated and so pretty, almost too nice for us with the kids!being a homegrown Charleston girl, a little beach getaway is always nice, it was a lovely quiet location, great parking and views, the unit is very well appointed and comfy.Hope to rent from Linda again in the near future.

Great place!

Family vacation for five adults. Linda was very communicative and made sure check-in went smoothly and we settled in nicely. Plenty of space for lounging and sleeping. Loved sitting on the balcony just taking in the views and getting some pool time in! Liked that it wasn’t directly in town, but close enough we could easily head there for dinner.

Incredible place!!

My family and I stayed at Linda’s beautiful Folly Beach condo over Memorial Day 2025. As the description stated, it is breathtaking! The condo was immaculate, spacious, and so cozy! We spent mornings sipping coffee on the screened-in porch and evenings watching for dolphins in folly creek. We will be coming back again to folly beach, and we will for sure be booking at this condo. We loved it and did not want to leave! Also, Linda was very responsive and great to work with. We would give 10 stars out of 5, if I could!

Paradise near Charleston

As a seasoned traveler that has managed other VRBO properties, this sweet place ranks high on our list. Look no further if you're wanting to be in a retreat location between the city and the beach to take it all in. I spend weeks finding hidden gems for comfort, updated interiors including the common areas. Great screened in porch to enjoy your morning coffee and watch the sunset or walk to the marina side to sit in the Adirondack chairs for your private viewing. For stormy days, our family of grown men and me enjoyed relaxing in the comfy living room. We have celiac so cooking is essential and the kitchen is on point to do so. No noisy foot traffic above either so peaceful night sleeping to rise and walk the shoreline for the sunrise. Needless to say, we hope to return sooner than later. Some fun spots to enjoy: Bowens Island Restaurant for a rustic throwback in time. (I can vouch for this place as my cousins have owned it since 1946). Take a dolphin excursion. Go out fishing early morning with Captain Jeffery owner of Drumroll Fishing. Great quality time!A little Folly Beach pub crawl should include Low Life Erik Estrada amazing cocktail. Also, rooftop Taco Boy and Catch 23.Ritas for dinner on the patio and Lost Dog Cafe for breakfast. Bert's Market is an iconic throwback to walk through at least once. Enjoy!

Perfect serenity

Came for a family wedding downtown and wanted to stay away from the hustle and bustle. Linda‘s home was so quiet, comfortable very well appointed. Just the view alone makes you feel you are only one of a handful of people amongst the multitude in the area! We thoroughly enjoyed our downtime at the condo and highly recommend it!

A Perfect Getaway

We had the most amazing getaway in Folly Beach! The condo was the perfect place for us to stay as a family of 4. The view from the patio is spectacular. We had everything we needed. Even better, we were able to walk into town for dinner. No worrying about driving or parking in a busy downtown area.

The home we stayed at was incredibly clean and beautifully decorated! Gorgeous views and beautiful sunsets right from the comfortable balcony. Property owner was easy to communicate with, and reached out to see how our stay was after a few days, and if we needed anything, which was appreciated! Relaxing Thanksgiving Break

We spent Thanksgiving week at Linda’s beautiful condo. It was clean, beautifully decorated, well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. The screened in balcony was wonderful spot to watch the beautiful sunsets. We enjoyed the short walk over the bridge into the town of Folly Beach where we ate delicious meals and walked along the beach and fishing pier. The location of the condo was very quiet & peaceful, perfect for the relaxing vacation we were hoping for. We can’t wait to return. Thank you Linda for sharing your beautiful vacation home with us.

Perfect - wish we had stayed longer!

Linda’s place is lovely. Stunning views (safe from mosquitos from the screen!) and very comfortable stay. We just wish we’d booked more than 3 nights! The condo complex is nice too and we found the boats and dock on the last day! Linda was very communicative and wanted make our stay as lovely as possible. We enjoyed the character of Folly beach area and being able to walk to town! Although a shame the beach was being regenerated! Would recommend Linda’s for a quiet, peaceful stay in SC.

Fantastic Stay at Folly Beach!

We had an incredible time staying at this immaculate rental during our trip for The Citadel’s Parents Weekend. The house was beautiful, and the location was perfect—right next to everything we needed while still feeling peaceful and secure in the gated community. The highlight for us was the screened-in porch with its amazing view—such a relaxing spot to enjoy our mornings and evenings. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed, and the entire home was extremely comfortable and clean. Perfect Girls Trip Stay!

Linda was so amazing and help from booking to departure! She responded quickly and gave us all the details we need to make our stay amazing. The condo was decorated so cute! You could tell she invested time to make it homey and beautiful with all the nautical decor and personal touches. There was nothing we went without as she had everything we needed (even down to the beach chairs we all forgot)! The complex was super nice and secure. Being on the sound was so peaceful, but also only 5 minutes from the beach and restaurants and bars. The pool was super clean and peaceful. We really enjoyed having that option when we didn’t feel like making an entire beach trip. This will definitely be our Folly Beach stay from now on 😊

We loved having a place where we could relax for a few days after college move-in week. So much detail given to decor and updates in all rooms. Enjoyed family game night at the large table, coffee on the screened porch and proximity to town and beaches. Communication with owner was great, hope to return. Thank you!
