Rooms were nice. Beds were wonderful! However, the surrounding landscape was in disparate need of cleaning and pruning. The pool was nice, but pool deck was in need of cleaning and upkeep. This could be an awesome property if the upkeep was better. We did enjoy the quietness of the property.

We thought it would be better. The photos are all real, but they must have been taken some time ago and are very well staged. We stayed in the building closer to the road. The building smelled nice and our room was nicely decorated, clean looking, and the bed was comfortable (the saving grace for me). The staff all seemed nice and helpful but it seemed like they are very short staffed and that money is not being invested into the resort. The pool deck was dirty and had leaves all over it. The breakfast was fine—2 boxes of yogurt, coffee, frozen waffles, frozen eggs (not as horrible as they sound) but they ran out of even this food mid-week and we got only waffles and yogurt. The trash cans were overflowing at breakfast and the hall floor outside the room was not vacuumed once while there. The tiki bar at the pool was closed the entire time and the bar by the marina was open only on the weekend. The tennis court looks beautiful until you get close and see it’s cracked and dirty. The place has a ton of potential, but looks tired. If you’re using this as a place to sleep only, then it’s fine. If you’re looking for a resort to stay at and enjoy during the day, you might want to consider somewhere else.

Christopher the GM was amazing. He definetly knows customer service. Staff on the premise are so helpful and Amazing. Eric our bartender was fun and enjoyable to talk with. I have never had to write a bad review but this one was bad. The website is not transparent. When booking it says free breakfast. Does not mention anywhere that it is only for 2. So when checked in, told breakfast was only for 2 and it was a boxed breakfast. Again, not stated anywhere about a box breakfast and then told I could pay for the 2 other guests. The pool bar closed at 5. Check in is at 4??? Seriously…. Amenity fee is not worth the hotel and the cost of what we paid vs what we got not worth it.

Worst hotel I ever stayed in my life list of problems _ they didn't allow to use the boat ramp for jetski use, _I reserved the room with ocean views and and when I arrived they changed my room for. Regular room. _ the manager never answered my calls _the bathrooms was really dirty.

Decor was nice; crisp blue and white. Bedside lamp did not work. Someone didn't know how the toilet paper holder worked, so it was broken. Cross bar fell off along with toilet paper roll. Balcony was unusable as it smelled like swamp. Decor in bathroom was wierd.

The staff: Very kind and courteous. Attempted to help with all of the complaints. The first two days we had no housekeeping. I went to registration to get clean towels and coffee. But I only saw one housekeeper the entire stay. One! The room: it was clean when we arrived and the beds are very comfortable. The property: The outside area could use a little attention picking up wooden pallets and giving the landscaping some attention. They should not advertise a pool bar or seaside bar because they were both closed. The first night the seaside bar was open but the last three nights it was closed. They lost a lot of business because many people were walking out to it. Anyway, basically this place is operating with practically no staff. Those who are there try hard to be helpful but they are extremely understaffed. This could be a really nice place! Also, the breakfast is a box of a bagel, muffin, and juice. They have one little coffee maker that was always brewing because it could not keep up the how many people needed coffee. We drove to get coffee every morning. And, make sure you look at the hidden resort fee!

Banana Bay resort is good for families; lots of amenities and a great pool. We were not happy with the room cleaning--we requested it be cleaned and they made the bed, gave us towels and coffee pods; next time we requested it 2 days later, there was no response.Also, they did not inform us we could have rented a small boat on their premises.

I liked that the bed was comfortable. However, there is no water pressure. You can either get extremely scorching hot water or very little cold water and the room was humid all night and very hot. I was very disappointed. I told the manager that I rented the room through Expedia And that I already had paid for the room and she still charged me for the resort fee which I thought was very unfair when we checked in at 8 o’clock and we left at 10 o’clock in the morning. The manager said I should’ve called it in to complain about the air conditioning and the water pressure however, we were trying to sleep. We were very exhausted and did not want any people coming in and out, she still did not agree and said it was under control of hers to remove and not charge me for the resort fee. I will not recommend this hotel nor will I stay there again.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Banana Bay! The staff was very friendly and the rooms are spacious and clean. Staff made it very easy for us when we decided to extend our vacation and made sure we got a good price on the extra night!

The resort is in a great location, however, our room was never cleaned and we had to constantly go to the front desk for towels, toilet paper, coffee pods, etc. The pool bar and point bar were not open on New Years Eve and that was very disappointing. You only get two breakfast per room and we had 4 people in our room. Not that the breakfast was any good, it consisted of a yogurt, precooked egg/cheese, bagel, orange juice and apple. Same boxed breakfast every day. The price was expensive and you would think we would have got at least a three star stay.

The location is perfect. Marina is nice but the ramp is not really usable. Pool is very nice and heated. Property needs updated and staff need to clean the rooms. You only get two boxed breakfast a day and have you have more in your room, they get only dry cereal or oatmeal. Price was high and the resort fee is $48 a day on top of daily rate. Pool bar and point bar wasn’t even open on New Years Eve. Overall not real happy! The one girl at front desk is great and the dock master great.

Super nice very large size pool from 5-9" kept at warm temperature for a relaxing swim or just hanging out in the pool. Good size rooms that are maintained very neatly, including a nice modern looking bathroom to make the stay comfortable.

...and nothing has improved. In my last review the best thing about our visit was the outstanding hospitality by the front desk staff. This year, that award goes to the security guard and his dog. He was friendly, and knowledgeable about the area. This kindly gent is a true hotel ambassador for the hotel, we can't say that about the fronr desk staff. Now, on the rhe hotel!
