Loved the beach and relaxing

Very relaxing. Most staff members were extremely kind and helpful, although Housekeeping did not always restock towels and supplies. Food and drink were expensive but delicious. Lots of amenities available. Beautiful!

nice view of the area

Pros: beds were nice room was clean
Cons: ventilation in the hallways, there was a terrible smell in the hotel halls, they were pet friendly and seemed to smell like urine, yuck!
Location: not so much
we stayed on the third floor, no ventilation there and smelled like a bad nursing home, we checked out early and went to a nicer hotel, would not go back there

Not good guest relation

Everything is chargeable and even when we ask for condiments for coffee they provide only one while three of us stayed. Same with any complimentary soap or water. I would not recommend to friends

Very nice midrange resort on the beach.

Posted 10-Apr-2016
This was our first visit to the Keys. We were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed it and will be coming back. Our room had been recently renovated. Nicely done, very clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly and very accommodating. The hotel grounds, pool, beach were awesome. The resort may want to consider adding room service. This was a little bit of an inconvenience one time during our stay.

Wonderful beachside hotel

Posted 6-Apr-2016
Pros: Location, beach, restaurant, bar, staff. Even the Iguana that had coffee with us on our 4th floor balcony one morning! Parking, shuttle.
Cons: Room could use ceiling fans and rugs for bedside. We only had one issue with a bartender not being attentive, but most were wonderful- very friendly!
Location: Great laid back town with wonderful restaurants and shopping. Boating, fishing, snorkeling are all top notch activities here.
Stayed here for a week and really enjoyed this property. It's far enough away from most of the traffic, but close enough to be convenient to other restaurants and activities. The beach is very nice with just enough lounge chairs for the time we were there. The beach bar is convenient, the restaurant very good and the rooms were contemporary and comfortable with a nice balcony. As of this review, very affordable luxury resort for this location. They are planning major renovations, so be forewarned of possible rate increases and construction!

Great find close to everything.

Modern hotel with nice pool and private beach area. Nice remodel with clean contemporary rooms. Probably one of the best properties in Islamarada. Definitely will stay here again. Only downfall is the resort fee. Didn't think it was needed.

A relaxing place to be

Everything about our stay was fantastic with one exception. The poolside bar was short staffed and the only bar tender that we saw during our stay was rude! Aside from that, would definitely recommend Amara!
