Recently renovated and very nice

Posted 22-Feb-2017
Cons: We stayed on parking lot side in back of hotel. Had a partial view of the water and were quite satisfied. Front is close to road and could be noisy
Location: Lots of fun bars/restaurants on the water. Great seafood. Beautiful sunsets on bay side. Sunrise at hotel
Loved the contemporary decor, the new infinity pool, sandy beach. Not crowded, so plenty of chairs at pool and beach. Felt quite pampered, but without the hubbub of larger resorts.

Very comfortable. Enjoyed our stay. Some bedrooms have no windows. Beautiful pool but some construction was still taking place adjacent to it. Water pressure a little weak on 5 th floor.

Beachfront Hotel with amazing views

Posted 10-Feb-2017
Pros: The heated pool and poolside bar, since we spent a lot of time there.
Cons: I didn't notice anything needing improvement, during our stay.
Location: As far as location, the only downside is that many places close early (by 10pm). Oo-tray Gastropub and Bob's Bunz are must dines, without fail!
This is the first time we stay at this location and I have to say that from the minute we arrived to the minute we left, it was an amazing experience. The hotel staff were all friendly and courteous - from the front desk to the poolside bar to the in house restaurant to the cleaning staff. Our room was extremely clean, which is a MAJOR plus for us. They were also very accommodating to my room request when I initially booked. The fact that they really cared about my request, says a lot about the hotel staff and management. Oh, and there is a water sport rental on site - very important! We have definitely found our new resort at Islamorada.

Beautiful place to enjoy a nice relaxing getaway.

Posted 10-Feb-2017
Beautiful views of the water, the rooms are very spacious and newly remodeled. We were very impressed with how nice the accommodations are and how comfortable the bed was. The lobby is very cute. My sister didn't want to stop taking pictures around the hotel because every corner had something nice and beautiful. The bar and pool area are fantastic and we had lunch on our last day there and it was delicious. We are already discussing when we will be returning.

Upscale for the keys

Posted 8-Feb-2017
Location: It is close to everything wonderful in the keys, smack in the middle between Miami and Key West.
We enjoyed our stay at Amara Cay for the four nights we booked. As in most cases there is only a man made beach - which is fine. The property was a bit more expensive than we like to pay in the keys, but options were limited because we booked late. The food was expensive, and the quality was modest at best. Our room was huge, and very comfortable. A bit sterile, but still nice. Th location is excellent for exploring the keys. The staff was very nice and accommodating. We were booked in an accessible room and that was just not a good room - barren and just unpleasing. So we requested a change and within 24 hours they did move us and we liked that one jut fine. Don't think I will stay there again, however I would recommend it for location.

Great place

Posted 8-Feb-2017
We just finished our long weekend trip to the Keys, and really enjoyed our stay at the Amara Cay Resort. Very relaxed and low key, great location about halfway to Key West. Resort was very comfortable and clean, recently remodeled. The GM was awesome, she really wanted to make sure all her guests were happy and comfortable. They also offer a free shuttle to local businesses, very convenient. We took the shuttle one night and the driver was great!

Nice Getaway

Posted 8-Feb-2017
Newly renovated rooms and grounds offers adults a nice quiet retreat. Not sure how many rooms were full when we were there but the beach and pool area were sparsely populated. A friendly tiki bar, good food and good music helped set the tone for a relaxing weekend poolside. One unexpected treat was getting a massage under the palm trees from Lisa. The hotel should do more to advertise her services. I got lucky when I spotted her giving a massage and was able to get appointment right afterward. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our stay very much. Free shuttle bus will take you to and from anywhere in town....recommend Morada Bay Cafe for sunset drinks and apps.
