Romantic Apartment in the Hearth of Florence

Located in the lively neighborhood of Sant Ambrogio, nearby Santa Maria del Fiore and Santa Croce, the flat has the characteristic florentine style, the ceiling with exposed beams, parquet, view on the rooftops and two nice fireplaces.
It has to bedrooms, kitchen, wifi, air conditioning and free parking place. It is ideal for maximum 4 for persons. As almost all the ancient buildings/palaces it has no elevator, but at your arrival you will be surrounded by a unique atmosfera, heartfelt and romantic.
The apartment has a wide living room with kitchen, a big bedroom for two with wardrobe, a nice small bedroom with French bed (cm. 140 x 190), a bathroom with a shower and bidet. Every room has a window with a view on the rooftops of Florence. The two bedrooms are completely separated by the living room, so complete privacy is guaranteed. It is the perfect choice for a couple looking for a romantic holiday in Florence, for two couples of friends, and for a family with kids. We can provide a small bed with blankets, a high chair, and on demand a stroller, without any additional cost. The apartment has any comfort you need and it is the perfect match to spend botha a quick stay or a long term vacation in Florence. You can find in it: blankets, towels, cooking utensils, a fridge with freezer, oven, burners, microwave, toaster, tea pot (ketter), dishwasher, air-drier, washing machine, drying rack, a steam iron and an ironing board. All the apartment is covered by fast wi-fi service. It has heating and air-conditioning in every room. A small library is available for the guests with guides and art history books in it. You could find table games, and for those who are fond of music there is a piano and an HiFi system.
We olso offer to all our guests a free private parking place, 1,5 km and 15 minutes walk from the apartment. The parking area is protected area by a closed gate.
The whole apartment is at complete disposal of our guests. The apartment building has other 5 apartments, one on each floor. It’s a very quite and safe building and beneath the apartment lives our very good friend Flavia: you can count on her if you have a problem to solve.
Claudia e David will welcome you in person and they will check the cleaning conditions and the sheets in the apartment, because they want everything to be perfect for their guests. They will help you with your arrival and your departure time and of course with your luggage. They will warmly welcome you and assist you with any information you need to live a gorgeous experience in Florence. The guests will never be alone, because Claudia and David live and work in the city center and they will be always at the guests disposal.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD
The apartment is located in the lively neighborhood of Sant’Ambrogio, in the heart of the historic centre of Florence nearby the Duomo (Santa Maria del Fiore) and the beautiful Santa Croce Basilica with its gorgeous square. It’s a strategic starting point to easily reach by walk every important monument in the city: Gallerie dell’Accademia, Uffizi Gallery, Palazzo Vecchio, Santa Maria Novella, San Marco, San Lorenzo and of course Ponte Vecchio.

HOW TO REACH THE APARTMENT
Via Fiesolana is at only 20 minutes walking distance from the main train station of Santa Maria Novella (or 10 minutes by taxi or public transportation). From the Florence airport the best way to reach our place is by taxi (flat fee € 25) or by the airport shuttle bus (called Volain Bus) that leaves every 30 minutes and brings you to the main station (the ticket costs € 6). From there you can take bus n. 14 or n. 23 and get off at 'Colonna 1'. If you fly to Pisa airport you reach the main Florence railway station by train or coach; then get a taxi or a bus or walk. PARKING:
The historical center - called ZTL area (Limited Traffic Zone) - is restricted to cars and only residents can park there. If you arrive by car you need to temporarily park it into a private garage for the time to unload or load the luggage. The garage closest to the apartment and the cheapest is Garage Italia (via Fiesolana, n.19, € 6/1 hour distance: 5 metres)
After having unload your luggage we will accompany you to our private parking place, located nearby the historic city centre (via Gioberti, n. 33). From there it is very easy to reach the apartment by walk( distance: 1,50 km far from the apartment, walk approx. 15 min).
The private parking is in an open air courtyard protected by a gate. The parking is available and free for the duration of your stay.

RECOMMENDATION
The furniture and decoration in the apartment comes from the ancient and unique tradition of Tuscan artisans: wood from the Apennines, marble from Carrara and stones from Rapolano. Please be careful in using them because they are very precious materials.
