Just walk out your door to some of the most gorgeous beaches and magnificent sunsets of orange, gold and pink right on the Florence Oregon Coast! This outstanding 2-story home comes complete with just about all of the amenities and appointments that you will need for your stay. If you don’t feel like cooking, the Shoreline Beach House is just a short stroll from Surfside Restaurant at the Driftwood Shores Resort. The Shoreline Beach House is located on Heceta Beach, this one-of-a-kind coastline offers miles and miles of pristine beaches as far as the eye can see. For those who love the sand, bring your quads and ATVs to the sand dunes just a couple minutes south of town. Visit Old Town Florence and explore the wonderful bistros, restaurants, galleries, and shops along Bay Street. Just a few minutes north along the coast and you’ll find the world famous and often photographed Heceta Head Lighthouse as well as Sea Lion Caves! For the avid fisherman, bring your boats and watercraft and test your skills on one of the 27 lakes in the Florence area sporting some of the best trophy bass. Still trying to land that trophy steelhead, well don’t forget salmon season on the Siuslaw River. Heceta Beach: A beautiful long sandy beach that's a popular location for families and leisurely beach strolls. Walk south toward the Harbor Vista Park and Jetty or North beyond the Driftwood shores restaurant for a more private stroll while looking for whales and other sea life or combing the sand for sea shells and enjoying the incredible scenery of the majestic Oregon Coast. The Heceta Beach Lane County Park is the most “official” entrance to this beautiful beach and located just steps out your front door. A wide path just beyond the parking area leads to the sand and ocean. Heceta Head Lighthouse: Situated high above the Pacific Ocean on the rugged Heceta Head outcropping is one of the most popular and inspirational sites on the Oregon Coast; and it is only about 10 scenic miles north of Florence. It is a must-see among must-sees here in Oregon’s Coastal Playground. One of the most beautiful, and most photographed lighthouses in the world. Since March 30, 1894, from its perch 205 feet above the ocean, this 56-foot-tall working lighthouse has cast its beam more than 20 miles out to sea, making it the brightest light on the Oregon coast. Throughout its intriguing and colorful past, the lighthouse watched over many attending families, safely guided passing personal, commercial, and military vessels, oversaw the construction of Highway 101, hosted a WWII military outpost and Lane Community College’s satellite campus, and blessed many a wedding ceremony. The lighthouse underwent a major, and historically accurate, restoration between 2011 and 2013\. The leisurely walk to the lighthouse is a quarter-mile uphill from the inn, which itself is a quarter mile from the public parking area. There is an interpretive center and gift shop with books, souvenirs, and other themed items as you begin the walk from the inn to the lighthouse. Heceta Head Lighthouse is 11 miles north at Heceta Head Lighthouse State Scenic Viewpoint. Day use parking is $5 or is covered by a $35 Oregon Coast Passport permit available at state parks. Perfect size and layout for our family. Upstairs has great view and is nice and bright. See that updates have been made since our last visit. Good memories had here in the past. Two suggestions…. Mar 15, 2025 #### Beach Trip 2025 The place is pleasant with lots of room for 6 people. A couple of things needed fixed like the blinds didn't have all of the vertical blinds slats on them. The faucet in the hallway needs repaired too. There wasn't enough water for a hot shower. But we are getting by and have been enjoying this wonderful journey very much. The view of the ocean from the upper rooms is gorgeous. The new barbecue was a nice surprise The house isn’t fancy but the beds were comfortable enough, plus having laundry & several bathrooms is great. The fact that each bedroom had its own bathroom was a big plus. Beach access is close and private. The house is quite private also, with beautiful views of the ocean from the upper level. Beds were okay, not great. Blinds in oneroom were broken and could not be closed, and upstairs carpet is quite stained. Also some chairs upstairs had loose arms. This home had the perfect space for four of us to set up and visit and work on our craft. All of us love the ocean and it was an easy short walk down to the beach. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and had everything we needed. The beds were all very comfortable and we appreciated having our own space and bathrooms. We could’ve easily doubled the amount of ladies on this trip. Luke was very responsive pre-trip to answer any questions that I had in a very timely manner which I appreciated greatly. We did bring inflatable mattress for the kids. The upstairs has 3 large rooms. Kitchen had all the equipment you need. The refrigerator is large held all our stuff from 2 families. The walk to the beach is a little steep at times but if the littles can do most adults can. It’s not fancy, could use some maintenance like 2 of the kitchen drawers almost fall out when you open, slow toilet in one room. There is 2 doors, great for unloading you vehicle.
