This cozy and inviting home is sure to please the entire family with its privacy, large yard, and thoughtful floor plan. When you enter Shorecrest Lake Pines you will immediately feel at home with the comfortable open floor plan, great decor, and comfy furnishings. Just off of the living room is the spacious and well appointed kitchen to prepare meals and make memories. Also off of the living room is a spacious master suite with a queen bed and private bathroom, and then the second bedroom across the living room with a queen bed. The large living room has all of the comforts of home with a large flatscreen TV as well as a Murphy queen bed. This home has plenty of room for your boat or sand toys. If you require more space, the sister home is located next door and can be rented together. Sutton Lake: Sutton Lake is 125 feet deep at the dam and the dam is 210 feet high, 1178 feet long and 195 feet wide at the base and 1407 acres that is fed by the Elk River. It is a narrow lake that provides an intimate canoeing experience with coves and two arms that meander up the Elk and Holley River drainages. A great fishing spot with Largemouth bass, yellow perch, blue gill, rainbow trout Mercer Lake: Boat Launch - There are two public boat launches, First is about 1.5 miles further east on Mercer Lake rd., watch for signs on your left. Second and slightly easier option, West on Mercer Lake rd to Bayberry rd turn right then an immediate right onto Archer Ln. Launch is at the end of the road, narrow road so best to back down Archer to water. Mercer is a good sized lake listed at 341acres on the north side of Florence. Great largemouth bass fishing, yellow perch, bullhead catfish, seasonally stocked rainbow trout and some sunfish as well.. With a boat, you can poke around the long Dowell and Dahlin arms and many small coves and points around the lake. There are standing and fallen trees around the shoreline, as well as a fair number of docks, that add to the potential cover for bass and panfish. What’s nearby: This home is a quick drive to multiple access points to the Oregon Dunes and ocean beaches including the popular access just out South Jetty Road. The charming Old Town section of the city is filled with lovely shops, cafes, galleries, and restaurants. You will also be minutes from numerous trailheads for hiking or mountain biking. The coastal forests flourishing in Douglas fir and Sitka spruce extend nearly to the Ocean. Some trails wind up, over, and through sand dunes, offering hikers the opportunity to experience the unique natural wonders of this area. Take a scenic drive up Hwy 101 to Heceta Head Lighthouse where free tours are offered daily. We are pleased to leave the first review of this great place to stay near Sutton Lake. Five minutes north of the Fred Mayer store, this house is easy to reach. This rental is brand new. It has an open plan living room/kitchen. The two bedrooms are on opposite sides of the house, and one has an ensuite. Jul 21, 2025 #### Lovely location We had a wonderful stay. The beds were so comfortable which is not the norm for rental properties. The location is beautiful and we enjoyed sitting outside listening to the wind. We did notice a very strong smell of cigarettes when entering the stairwell and the garage. We did our best to get ride of the smell. The only complaint I had is there were no knives to cut or chop with when preparing meals. The steak knives did not really work. I had to purchase a knife which I left for future renters. It would also be nice to have had 1 large skillet. Breakfast was difficult to prepare with only 2 small skillets.
