First of all, be prepared to get a form to fill out asking for passport pictures and information ahead of time from clean b&b. I had an issue with this as the email did not come through and at which point it became a little difficult to reach the host to let us in. The listed # was no good. We had to contact Expedia for a 2nd number. Once that was resolved, we soon learned the power is a bit finicky in this apartment. With the washing machine running, the power went totally out so the host had to come back to show us how to fix it (going down to an exterior fuse box outside of the apartment to do this). The power ended up going off several times in our few day stay which was annoying. Also, the bathroom sink didn’t drain well at all. Outside of that, the apartment itself is clean and pretty nice, but you don’t get automatic service/cleaning and restocking. We noticed the trash in the kitchen never got emptied our whole stay, but we didn’t mind so much because we were only there a few days. You have to contact the host if you need anything during your stay there. Another thing, we found it difficult to get around Florence, especially in that area. Since it was a quiet residential area, there weren’t many taxis. So when we went to check out, we contacted the host asking if they could send us any recommendations for a taxi service but he never got back to us on that. Outside of that, the apartment was pretty nice and the area quiet. The restaurant just below was fantastic too.
