We were enthralled when we walked into our room and saw 16th century frescoes- apparently we were in the former chapel. Extremely quiet room and very stylish. Very unique setting overall and gracious service. Breakfast was served at table and delicious. If we visit Florence again we will definitely stay here again.
It’s a lovely hotel located very close to the Duomo. I had a single room that was very small, but well appointed. They valet parked my car and were very kind at check in and out. The room was clean and there was a large sitting are just outside of it that I would have used on a longer stay. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable and I could hear people in the night, but after a day of walking around Florence , neither interfered with my sleep.
This hotel was amazing! By far, the best hotel we stayed in Italy. Everything was very clean and even the rooms smelled good. All the staff/concierge were very helpful, friendly, and professional. We wanted to stay longer! The staff was able to recommend and reserve restaurants for us. When we needed anything extra, the staff was able to accommodate. We had to skip breakfast and the staff still gave us a “to-go” breakfast. There are cute reading areas and garden areas throughout the property. There is an elevator. The room we stayed in was stunning and very comfortable. Next time we are in Florence, we will be staying here again! 12/10!
Historic setting with furnishings reflecting the history.
Competent and caring staff went above and beyond to help us; directions, maps, transportation, printed out covid test results, provided to go breakfast since we had to be at airport before any cafes would be home.

The staff at the hotel were so friendly and helpful. The hotel felt like Florence! We were able to walk to Duomo, Uffizi Gallery, Ponte Vecchio, and more. The breakfast that came with our booking was so good! I would highly recommend!

We loved Hotel Morandi. It is a 5 minute walk from Academia (David statue) and a 10 minute walk to the Duomo. It was quiet, charming and the service was excellent. We especially appreciated the service of Mauricio, Cristiano and Rolando. Would highly recommend this hotel.

We’d love to welcome you back to the Hotel Morandi alla Crocetta if you are ever in Florence again for business or for pleasure.
Best wishes,
The hotel is small, only 12 rooms. The staff are wonderful and very helpful with suggestions for restaurants, museums, tours, etc. Its location is only a few blocks from the Duomo and the city center.
So pleased to we stayed here during our time in Florence. It was set back on a quiet street from the tourist attractions which we appreciated, but was still easy to get to them.
Christiano was wonderful, I think he is the most professional Receptionist I have ever met, nothing was too much trouble including an earlier breakfast as we had to catch a bus.
It was nice to have a breakfast served to you at the table instead of a buffet style and it included eggs and bacon. The only thing that would improve the place is a decent hair dryer. Would highly recommend picking this place!
The hotel and the people were superb friendly and continued to go over and above to make our stay in Florence a great one!. Our only reason for giving it a 4 star on condition is that the bathroom looked a little tired and could do with some updating
My wife, 13 year old daughter and I loved this hotel. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. It is very charming and has a great historical feel to it. The hotel is in a great location so that you can walk to most attractions easily. The breakfast was included and we all enjoyed it. We definitely recommend this hotel.
Morandi alla Crocetta is a wonderful place to stay in Florence. It was a convent, and now has only 12 rooms. High ceilings, religious artifacts and decoration in the spacious room, but great AC, confortable bed, spotless bathroom, extremely quiet. Decent wi-fi. 7 minutes walk to the Duomo. Great staff, extremely secure location, little garden.
The hotel is located in a quite little street, in the center of Florence. It is a old convent with antique furniture and exquisite decoration. Room was spacious and clean, all amenities as expected. Bathroom was clean and functional, but could benefit from a revamp. Good breakfast. Very nice staff. Everything within walking distance (tourists spots, eats). Take a taxi from the train station (only about 10Euros).
Roland took very good care of us and recommended a fabulous restaurant, Natalina. Loved the personalized service as this is a small place with loads of character!
Gorgeous hotel within a close walk of central, historic Florence. This historic hotel had characterful, large rooms with original finishes. Absolutely lovely hotel with excellent staff. Cristiano was beyond helpful and informative. The hotel had a lovely outdoor courtyard space and offered beautifully decorated seating areas on both levels. Would highly recommend this hotel!
We were very pleased with our stay at the Hotel Morandi Alla Crocetta last week while in Florence. The hotel location was good and was very convenient for our early morning reservation at the Accademia Galleria to see the David. It was also convenient to walk to the other sites such as the Duomo and the San Lorenzo market. Florence is easily walkable and this location was great. The hotel staff was very accommodating, kind, and attentive and the room was very clean and well appointed. A lovely breakfast was included. Our room was on the ground level and we had a beautiful little private terrace. My only complaint was that the beds were a bit too firm for our liking. Despite that, we wouldn't hesitate to return. The decor, setting, and quality was unique and lovely. The hotel staff also kept our bags for us on the day that we checked out so that we could enjoy the day without worrying about them. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Despite the hotel’s appeal, its staff‘can only be described as arrogant. With only five small tables, the breakfast room is severely under- dimensioned and they have you wait in the hall until called in. Nearby Loggiato dei serviti is a much better alternative in every way!

Dear Guest,
We have all been so fortunate to meet you and spend time talking to you. Our small boutique hotel has only 10 rooms therefore we only have 5 tables in the breakfast room but we always offer to serve breakfast for free in the room or if it's a nice weather in the courtyard. We hope to host you again in the future maybe in one of our Superior rooms with Private Patio.
Kindest Regards

Hotel Morandi alla Crocetta
This property is a little north of city center, but very quiet and private and worth the short walk. It is a former monestary, and our room was huge, like an apartment with a hallway leading to the bathroom. We were upgraded at no charge to a room with a private patio. Also, the hotel did not know this, but they placed my daughter and me in the same room that her dad and I shared 22 years ago.
We were greeted personally by the staff. They were all polite and welcoming even when we couldn’t speak any Italian they made us feel welcome. They also upgraded us to a superior room that had beautiful frescos on the walls from when the hotel was a monestary. The free breakfast was lovely and very filling. This hotel was charming and wonderful. I would definitely go back!
Hotel Morandi Alla Crocetta was a beautiful hotel, down to the last detail. It is old world charm with unique sitting areas and artwork throughout. The staff was wonderful, right on top of everything. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. The only detriment I can think of is that it's location is a distance from the water area and night life. But the hotel itself is absolutely lovely.
The man who checked us in was so helpful! He gave us a map of the city and circled and labeled the best places to eat and visit. He gave us a paper of all the attractions and prices and information. Then we went to our room. It was beautiful! The furniture was antique and the whole feeling was quaint and lovely. We loved Firenze and a major reason why was because of this lovely hotel. I will be back!
