Breakfast (we paid add’l for it) was great! The bathrooms are tiny. We luckily had a tub shower but it was impossible not to soak the room when when using the shower head. Our daughters had two single beds and a shower in their room that was the smallest I’ve ever seen! No dropping anything or shaving legs. If you are a large person you won’t fit! The place is sufficient. Nothing fancy. There was scaffolding all over the building and they worked during the day literally right outside our window. The area in front of the hotel was a busy, small walkway under the scaffold. We would stand inside the door and wait for our chance to step out. The staff was great and everything was clean. That was a plus!!

Bathroom is very very small, sink drain is not working properly, shower head needs to be replaced. Elevator is super slow which is useless.

Only a block away from Firenze's train station (Santa Maria Novella), Hotel Palace Machiavelli is located very conveniently near the Accademia Gallery, some other tourist spots and a lot of bar and dining options with a variety of price ranges. The staff is very helpful and kind, and the facilities are clean and comfortable. It even has a rooftop bar with a beautiful view of Firenze. Unfortunately, we weren't able to take advantage of it since the bar it's closed during winter but we went up anyways and photographed the hell out of the view at night. We even ordered the extras they offer you and asked fora bottle of chianti (that was already waiting in the room for us when we arrived). I really recommend this hotel if you want to visit Firenze, even if it's just for a couple of days.

Room was terrible. It smelled very strongly of air freshener and the bathroom smelled awful, like sewer gas. I believe it was the floor drain. We had to keep the bathroom door open and the window in the room open to air it out. If we kept the bathroom door closed it was even worse. The toilet seat crumbled apart and broke right off of the toilet the first time we used it. No warm water in the shower when I tried to use it. Location was good.

The staff was exceptional, a credit to the hotel. Perfect location.The hotel itsefl was just ok. Extremelt poor wifi service, very uncomfortable bed, tv volume control set at 22, too low. A 30 would have been ok. Planning to return to FLorence. Will consider another hotel.

Loved the views from the Rooftop Bar! This hotel is just 2 blocks from the train station and outdoor market! We were able to walk to all the key sights of Florence. Charming trattorias right around the corner. This property covered all the bases!

They didn’t really clean our bathroom. We had a clogged drain upon arrival and we were too tired to ask to have it fixed our first night so we requested it the next morning. They cleared it but left a mess afterward. The ac did not work well. It’s got some character and our room on the first floor was a bit nicer than those on the second. The second floor shower was too small for a grown man and water splashed all over the floor when showering. The pillows and beds were pretty uncomfortable. The hallway had an awful sewer smell. Overall it was a fine location but probably wouldn’t stay here in the future.

Excellent hotel in ideal location
This was an excellent hotel. It was in easy walking distance from the train station. When you step outside you are near a plethora of shops and restaurants. The staff were very attentive and kind. We got in early so they stored our bags. They helped us see the sights even calling a taxi for us and made recommendations. The breakfast was very nice. There is a rooftop bar. We had a hamburger there one night when we were too tired to walk anymore. Great overall.

The room was very hot and sticky. Very disappointed with lack of proper working air conditioning. The air unit sounded like MAC Truck running. So we had a loudness and hot and sticky.

Hotel Machiavelli Palace is a true gem within Florence. The hotel is only five minutes from the train station, making transportation to and from very manageable. It came as a great blessing after being on the trains all day. The room that we were provided with had a charming Tuscany vibes. The room had high vaulted ceiling made of wood, and a lot of room for our luggage and walking space. The restroom was a bit tricky when it came to the shower, but overall just as spacious and easy to use. The staff were always welcoming, and hospitable, answering all of our questions and assisting us even in the later hours of the night. We did not eat at the bar on the rooftop, however it has a beautiful view of the city.

The staff was very nice and the check-in/out was easy and smooth. I got a single room and it was simple yet very comfortable and clean. The breakfast surprised me, it was worth the extra money because it was very diverse but if you are a savoury breakfast person, there aren’t many options available (for me, the sweet ones compensated for that as they were good). Also, the upstairs terrace is very pleasant, ideal to enjoy a glass of wine before going to the room. The location is VERY convenient and safe because there are many bars around it, 6min to the duomo and there’s a lot going on at night. Overall, I recommend this hotel.

The property was ok, the location was close to the train station and convenient for getting in and out of Florence easily. However our room had a terrible smell and the ac in the bedroom was not working but the ac in the living room was strong enough to keep both rooms cool as long as you didn’t turn off the ac. Area around the hotel can be a bit unsafe in the late evening or early morning. Staff was very helpful and accommodating.

The Staff was helpful and very friendly, the hotel is a little old but well maintained and kept very clean by the staff. They helped with pick up and delivery of our car which if you know Florence this is big. The Roof Top bar is an excellent place to rest at the end of the day with a drink with friends and family, it has a breath taking view of the Duomo and Sunsets, hotel is a winner for sure. I would recommend this hotel to anyone with out hesitation

Great Hotel in Florence
The location of the hotel was awesome and we were put on the 5th floor with an awesome balcony view. The room was small (typical for hotels in the older city center in Italy) and the shower was very small. The A/C was weak but the rest of the hotel experience was very good.

Not sure the rating you have for this place is correct, there is no way this place is worthy of such a rating, much too expensive for what it offers as a supposed 'hotel', think somewhere, someone missed the letter 's' in the middle of the word, no more than a glorified bed and breakfast. The one and only good feature for this place is the location, which is certainly not worth £250 a night it commands, no value for money whatsoever, actually feel I have been misled by your false advertising, absolute rip off.....

Just few minutes walk from Firenze Santa Maria Novella station. They allowed us to store our luggage before check-in. Great service from their friendly & professional staff. Room is large, beds are comfy, we had a good sleep. Decent breakfast with tasty plain croissant, must try! Overall good experience and recommended :)
