M.N., Housing, in historical building of '800, has been recently renovated with particular care in maintaining the typical Florentine details that characterize it, as the cool tiled floors and arched beams in the ceilings, combined with a new decor and comfortable. It is located on the ground floor with the possibility to park your car in a courtyard protected by an electric gate (2,20cm entry width), from here you can enter directly in the lodging or use the main entrance. You do not need any permission for the car to reach the accommodation. The apartment of about 90 square meters comprises entrance hall, 2 double bedrooms in particular mezzanines, living room with double sofa bed, large and equipped kitchen (microwave oven, induction electric plates, kettle fridge etc.), further mezzanine with sofa double bed. A bathroom with no shower in master bedroom, another on the ground floor with large shower, all in Carrara marble. Air conditioning in all environments, 2 LED TV with satellite and terrestrial channels, wi-fi. It can comfortably accommodate up to 8 people. The location is perfect, within walking distance you will find everything you need in the morning the San Lorenzo market sells fruits and fresh green vegetables, meat, fish, and various bakeries, supermarkets, buses, restaurants and shops. As well as being close to transport and shopping, the apartment was well-positioned for sightseeing, had lots of character and was well equipped. Travelling as a family of four has its challenges but this accommodation gave us the space we needed in addition to the great location. Our hosts were very helpful, making sure we had everything we needed and giving us some good advice and tips about Florence. My only concern would be for families with young children (under 5-ish) as the internal staircases and lofts may be a bit tricky. They met us at the apartment to talk us through everything we needed to know. Anna also mentioned various places to visit during our stay, if she hadnt then we would have missed out on the spectacular views of Florence from Piazzale Michaelangelo!The apartment itself was lovely, about a 7-8 min walk from the train station, bars, restaurants and mini supermarkets close by. 20 min walk approx to the Duomo.Beautifully decorated, very spacious, 2 mezzanine bedrooms with sofa beds, one located over the living area and one over the kitchen. Main bedroom accessible by a separate staircase (note - the stairs are a not actual full steps and a bit steeper than a normal staircase, but not a major issue for us) and had its own ensuite toilet and basin, main bathroom is downstairs and had everything you needed.Kitchen large with large dining table, induction hob, microwave, kettle, fridge. Location is terrific. The stairs to one room are very steep- difficult for some. The bedrooms are all lofts, which has a great vibe, but may be loud for some groups as it is open space without doors. The sound carries and privacy for mixed groups would be limited. As a family, it worked very well for us. We enjoyed the living spaces, which were quite spacious, together nicely. The apartment was very well located for exploring the city centre and all the sights on foot. The apartment was generally tidy and clean, and had everything you need for a short stay (if you can survive three days without a dishwasher) and was in good working condition – you always have to bear in mind that it is an old, authentic house.The layout of the rooms is also very practical, especially if you are travelling with several people. The possibility of parking your car in the courtyard is also worth mentioning. If you are travelling to Florence by car, you can safely park it there without any worries, as you don't need it to explore the city. The reasonable fee for this is also acceptable, as there are hardly any other options for parking your car in the city centre. Appartement de charme très bien situé dans la ville de Florence, qui nous a permis de visiter la ville à pied. Très proche de la gare de train. Pour notre famille de sept (2 adultes et 5 enfants/ados) l’espace était un peu limité, mais pour un plus petit groupe ce serait parfait.
