I was recommended this place by my family and understood that the building was old. The property itself was in okay condition, but considering the price for the room it was unimpressive. The check in area was under construction and redirected through a maintenance closet door. The worst part of the stay was the egregious amount of noise that was audible from above us. Constant children sprinting, walking, coughing, etc. well past midnight. We were also awoken at 0800 sharp by a fire alarm, as a result of burnt food in another room. Hotel staff failed to turn it off for almost 15 minutes. I would never come back for the huge amount it costs.

The beach is easily accessible and beautiful. Property is a bit older but in pretty good condition since it is directly ocean front. They are doing some construction but wasn't in the area we stayed. They have a nice little market/deli which is convenient since it is a ways out of town.

Perfekte Strandlage. Riesen Kasten, Konferenzhotel. Durch die Lage direkt am Steand und Salzwasser ist vieles am Gebäude ziemlich verwittert und in die Jahre gekommen. Wir hatten eine Riesen 3 Zi Suite, mit Küche, Balkon, Essbereich. Wohnung ist gut aufgeteilt und sauber. Der Übernachtungspreis wie bei allen beachfront Hotels üppig bis überteuert. Wir wollten mal eine Nacht direkt am Strand wohnen, uns war es das wert. Der Ort (Shopping Restaurants) ist nur mit dem Mietwagen erreichbar. Check In war unfreundlich unterkühlt. Ansonsten gabs kein Personal zu sehen. Der beste ist einfach die Lage.

It was too windy to enjoy beach the days that we were there. soaps very small. Room was only a place to sleep, pillows hard though. Deli was nice though you could get a hot meal and wine there. Nothing in walking distance except beach

Front Desk doesn’t help to extend our stayed We requests high floor/ Quite/ nice view ! since we made this reservation 1 month in advance they give us everything different very end of the corner next to elevator 2nd floor with noise up to us we stayed for 5 days. Also they Don’t do room cleaning they told me we need to clean our room. Which is very Disappointing. The place is nice with front an open ocean nice pool beautiful spa and big rooms and nice kitchen!!

The view is incredible. The property is an older but decent. The front desk staff gave us the wrong directions to our room. We unloaded the car went up 3 flights and had to go back down, reload car and drive to other side of property. Still worth it for the view!

The photos do not depict the actual room, maybe used a wide angle lens The view was great. The room was much smaller than expected. The decor was dated. The bed was soft and lumpy. The room was clean. The staff were all friendly.

This property has a spectacular setting and it’s why we chose it for our 1 night in Florence. It is however, spent. Some room upgrades had been done but it really was in need of attention. The elevator button lights didn’t come on and the exterior was really in need of maintenance. Couple this with a yapping dog on the floor below and a truck security system blaring several times. Not the best stay we’ve had.

Beautiful spot on the beach,… no tourist gimmicks. Great area for relaxation, walking the beach and getting lost in the waves. Good seafood nearby if you look. Hotel gets battered by constant wind and it shows, but warm, as clean as possible and dry in the rooms. Well worn in some areas. Full kitchen in each unit is great. Front desk was not tracking my reservation as pre paid which is anxiety inducing

This was an amazing hotel. Older property so things are dated but we didn’t come to stay in the hotel all day. It was very clean. The only issue that we had was that 2 nights in a row we had to have security let us in our room because the keys stopped working. Our stay had always been fixed so there was no reason for our keys to keep expiring. Since we were there for vacation, both nights we got home after midnight so that was very inconvenient. I would stay there again, however as I think this was a front desk issue versus the entire hotel.

The view is really what your paying for. Its also nice they have "adult only" from 10-midnight for the hottub area. The only downfall was the matress in our room was awful. It needs to be retired and replaced. But, this place is great. You're RIGHT on the beach.

From waking and rising out of our cozy beds rested and ready to explore the beach, to our sand labored, shell hunting steps working up an appetite for crispy fish and chips from the onsite deli, to sipping wine on the balcony and watching the sun set on the ocean; our stay at Driftwood Shores was the ultimate Oregon Coast experience.

Loved how easy it was to get to the beach! My husband and i stayed here for one night for our anniversary, and it truly was divine. We got to choose which for we wanted, and had the most glorious view of the ocean. Let the door open at night so e could sleep to the sound of the waves. So serene. Really enjoyed seeing families that were so happy, playful pups too! Were coming back soon with our dog, fur sure. Staff was friendly, accommodating. Parking was easy, but seemed to fill up quickly. We thought the menu prices at the attached diner/cafe was a little high, so we went to a nearby place called Mari's Kitchen - WOO yummy food!! This place was perfect. Thank you!

The fire alarm was malfunctioning. Alert sounded to evacuate the building multiple times after 10 pm. When talking to the staff they were not helpful. Very frustrating.
