This gorgeous lakefront home near Florence has all the comforts of home, a dog-friendly attitude, a private hot tub, easy access to the area's attractions, and even a private dock on the lake. What a wonderful opportunity to take a relaxing trip to the coast! Located four miles south of Florence, right on the lovely Woahink Lake, this charming A-frame home is nestled in a serene space with a picturesque trail leading up to it - a perfect setting to enjoy the peace and quiet of the area. With beach access available a few miles up the road at South Jetty, Honeyman Park and its picnic areas just across the road, and the sand dunes also a short drive away, you will have plenty of amazing activities here! Plus, the friendly town of Florence is a quick five-minute drive away, so you can easily head into the city for a nice restaurant meal, a game of golf, some souvenir shopping, or a fun evening at the casino. With two bedrooms (plus a loft) and two bathrooms, this home can easily accommodate six guests, and you're also welcome to bring your dogs with you, though please note that a small nightly fee applies. The main level of this home, the middle floor, features enormous windows that allow views of the lake, as well as a cozy sitting room and a full kitchen and dining area. Around the home you will have entertainment options including a TV with a selection of VHS movies to watch, board games, and even a game room downstairs with a foosball table. If you head upstairs to the loft above the living room, you will find a sleeping area with a queen-size bed. The main level features two bedrooms, each with its own lovely queen-size bed where guests will sleep soundly. This home offers two full bathrooms, both with a shower (no tub) and a laundry area, which will come in handy after a few days of playing in the lake and out on the sand dunes. Walk outside to the large deck to find a wonderful space with seating where you can relax and enjoy the views and the fresh air. Take a soak in the hot tub to enjoy the early morning sky. The views from the deck and living room are magical, lush and the air divine - a very old-forest feel. We had a wonderful stay! The furnishings are very comfortable, and the kitchen has everything you need. It is on the small side with spiral staircases going up to the loft and down to the den(?). The stairs are quite narrow which can make it difficult for some. The path to the lake/dock is a little steep in places and needs just a little trimming and a few more placed wooden slats for good traction up and down the slope. This home is minutes from the city of Florence with all the great stuff a small city on the water has to offer! We would definitely stay here again! ##### Nancy H. When we went to explore inside we saw that there was some cleanliness issues like a dirty towel, a popsicle stick on the goose all table, and aluminum cans outside on the patio. Since you have to take the circular stairs to go up or down, touching the handrail was very sticky and gross. Lighting was a problem while we were there since the bulbs were burnt out. The bedrooms looked beautiful. We each chose one and decided to watch a movie. We grabbed a blanket out of one of the rooms since we were a little chilled. The blanket smelled sour and musty. Warnings to future bookers though: First, I had a great time here! The view is fantastic, the area is quiet and peaceful, and the home was clean and well stocked. However here are some WARNINGS if you are considering staying here: first, the stars to the loft and down to the basement are VERY steep and narrow. I am 5'3 200lbs and almost did not fit on the stairs, so keep that in mind. Second, there are NO blinds or a curtain for the loft, so when the sun comes up it beams directly into the bed with no way to block it out, so, hard to sleep in past sun up there. Additionally, the showers are TINY - I am not a very tall person and I was too tall, and has to keep the door open to fit. The toilets are also cramped and at wierd angles. The sliding door to the basement is also incredibly difficult to open, and the upstairs sliders are really narrow. Overall I had a great time and the place is lovely, but it seems fair to leave this info for others planning visits ##### Denna A. Even though there are homes on either side we saw and heard no one else around. The whole neighborhood was quite and felt like we were the only ones there. The path to the private dock was short and the lake was also quiet. A note that the property does not supply water equipment but I brought my own paddleboard and found the cove a great spot for paddling as it blocked the wind. There are three bedrooms but one of them is in the loft and does not have a door, however since it was only two of us staying we loved this space, especially waking up to the view of the lake. The home is tucked back off the road down a long driveway surrounded by trees that made you feel like you were hidden in the forest. However, there is a spot halfway down the driveway that is very tight between two trees that our truck barley made it through. We also had troubles using the parking spot next to the home as we had do a multiple point turn to manever the truck in the tight space. We spent most of our time outdoors on the property between the lake, hot tub, and large deck, but the home itself was also lovely with everything that we needed. I agree with other reviews that mention that, although other houses are visible, it feels secluded. The hot tub on the back deck is huge and it was nice to be out there, both night and day. The interior could use some TLC in the form of a deep cleaning and some lighting updates. The main areas were clean enough but in the corners and cracks there were spills and dirt that could use some attention. ##### Leigh M. The loft is filled with sun light from dawn until late and there are no curtains. The refrigerator is small. The bathrooms are tiny, my pickup couldn't do the turn around of the circler drive without backing up. Big ants all over the house even had one crawling on me while I was in the bed. Floors weren’t properly cleaned, stains and stuff still left over from whoever stayed last. The tv in the living room is broken the screen was fuzzy. One of the beds was so broke in it indented in the middle. Wi-Fi kept shutting off. I did contact people for help that was a breeze but the only thing they could recommend was to turn on the router like we hadn’t already done that a million times. When getting towels from under the sink it was disgusting under there. There was also a used mouth guard on the floor like from football so obviously the cleaning people somehow missed that. I took pictures of everything. I left that place way cleaner then when I got there. ##### Jamie T. Jun 16, 2025 #### Father’s Day Me and my daughter drove my brand new Corvette to check out the lake for Father’s Day. When I arrived at the driveway and looked down there, I was a little concerned with condition of the non-paved driveway. It is so far down the driveway. We had no choice but to drive down to the home and my car did bottom out on a tree root that was in the middle of the driveway. Every time we came and left. When we got down to the house everything is as described, but all is very dated. The foosball table was falling apart and barely worked, the hot tub did turn on, but is missing jets and did not work properly, a lot of of the electrical plugs in the house the charger kept falling out of, everything seemed to work, but just kind of. Thankfully, it was me and my adult daughter and we didn’t care to use the hot tub or play foosball. Another note is the fir trees completely coated my car with sap as it is a beautiful forested setting but nowhere to park not under the trees. We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the lake and the house did serve our needs, but probably would not go back with the entire family. ##### Darrin W. ### 10/10 Excellent #### nicky j. We had a great weekend, the deck and hot tub were amazing. We even jumped in the lake off the dock to welcome a new year. Great Birthday weekend! We will be back! ##### nicky j. There were some things we did not like but we would stay again. The stairs are extremely steep, the toilets are at a odd angle. The TV in the game room did not come on (i think the outlet did not have electricity). The TV in the living room the picture would be jumpy. We did not stay there to watch TV so it wasnt a huge problem and to be faor I didn't call anyone and ask how to fix it. Loved the dock on the lake and the location was perfect. It is a very quiet and peaceful area; the hot tub was great and 2 of the 3 beds were comfy! The views are also beautiful, and the shower is small but hot with good pressure. Good location and fun lake.The home was clean, but it could really benefit from a deep cleaning of the windows downstairs and the tall windows outside. A few more kitchen staples and supplies like seasoning and bags would be great.Thanks for letting us stay, super relaxing and just what we needed! ##### korin R.
