It’s only 20 minutes walk from the train station - maybe 15 to the Piazza del Duomo - and there are loads of bars and restaurants around. One note of caution if you have mobility issues. It is a comfortable One bedroom apartment with kitchen and Living room. For two people this is ideal. We spent five days in Florence and this apartment proved to be a great place to stay. Since Florence is a very walkable city, you are fairly close to everything here. We found the walking times needed to be doubled due to the amount of tourists in the city. Anything that might take 10 minutes is easily a 20 minute walk with all the navigating you will have to do. There are a lot of shops around the apartment and some very nice restaurants. We loved our accommodations in the Santo Spirito area of Florence. The history of the building is mixed with modern updates. It is a three story walk up but totally work the walk.
