This hotel was my favorite hotel on my trip to Italy . The rooms are updated and charming . The staff is amazing . Angelo at the reception went out of his way to make sure we enjoy our stay . He loves food and sent us to really good restaurants in the area . We loved our stay there !

We had a wonderful stay at Calimala! The staff went above and beyond to make sure our visit was perfect. The location was close to everything and very walkable. I highly recommend and will stay there again.

I will come back to Florence just to stay at this hotel. The staff is the absolute best, they feel like family!! Bruno, Rafael, Desire, Lorenzo, Valeria and Chef Ela are all WONDERFUL!!!! Make sure not to miss eating at Meze, it’s exceptional. Location is perfect, in the center of everything and a 3 minute walk to the water. 10 out of 10!!!

My daughter and I stayed here in May 2024. The hotel is very pretty with a rooftop bar. We enjoyed breakfast here one morning. The hotel offers parking. Prior to my arrival I inquired about where I should bring our rental car as other cities we visited required us to park outside of the city center and then be picked up by a hotel shuttle. This hotel said to drive directly to the hotel. Upon getting close to the city center we encountered the warning signs that we were entering the “zero traffic zone”. We continued to the hotel anyway fearing we would receive a traffic violation in the mail. However, upon arriving at the hotel I was told that there are exceptions to the traffic violations as long as the car is parked in a garage within a number of hours. I was very happy to hear this. I do wish I had been told this when I was told to drive directly to the hotel. The parking is not valet parking like we are used to in the US. They use a local parking garage so the parking garage rates and rules apply. The hotel was great at getting us a taxi for the day of our departure at 7am!! The hotel has a fee for the second person in the room. The fee didn’t apply to us but I just think it’s very odd to have a fee like this. I’ve never stayed at a hotel with a fee for a second person, even when breakfast is included in the room rate.

This was a beautiful property! We loved the location, cleanliness, amenities, and staff was very friendly and accommodating! Would recommend to anyone staying in Florence. Rooms are nice, gym is awesome, and rooftop bar/restaurant was a fabulous perk!
