Come visit this beautiful part of West North Carolina! Spacious nature themed cabin on 7-forested acres on the mountainside with two streams! Enjoy time on the large wraparound porch with a view of the neighboring mountain, relax, and hear the sounds of nature, the water trickling down the mountainside and the birds in the trees. Enjoy relaxing in the hot tub with views of a mossy rockface or enjoy sitting inside or outside at either of the 2 fireplaces or roast marshmallows at the outdoor firepit! Take a short hike up a rustic trail along the mountain side stream to a breathtaking view point of the Blue Ridge Mountains! Have fun indoors in the game room with ping pong, air hockey and foosball! Or the living room which is equipped with various board games and books. There are four 50in to 60in TVs throughout the cabin in the living room, master bedroom, game room and queen bedroom downstairs all with Disney Channel included! Attractions/Things to Do: \- Downtown Asheville \- Historic Biltmore Estate \- Blue Ridge Parkway \- Pisgah National Forest: Hiking, Swimming Holes, and Waterfalls such as Looking Glass Falls, Sliding Rock Falls, and many more \- Dupont State Forest: Hiking and Waterfalls such as Triple Falls, High Falls and many more \- Craft Breweries: Family-friendly breweries such as Turgua Brewing (our recommendation)and Whistle-Hop. Also Sierra Nevada, Highland, French Broad, New Belgium. \- Vineyards and Cideries: St. Paul's (both Vineyard and Cidery), Point Lookout, Southers Williams, Burntshirt, Black Mountain Cider & Mead \- Neighboring towns of Hendersonville, Black Mountain, Chimney Rock, Lake Lure. \- Shopping at Asheville Outlets, Asheville Mall, and local shops in downtown Asheville \- Everything Western North Carolina has to offer! Please note we may allow up to 2 small dogs (less than 20 lb each) with permission from host and pet fee. For your comfort, the maximum number of adults is 10. Guest have access to the entire cabin and grounds including the hot tub! Other items of note: The cabin is equipped with a whole house generator. Two security cameras are in place, one above the garage door and one on the first post of the balcony, both with a view over the parking area and a ring doorbell with view of front door area of the porch. Cameras will make short recordings when activated by motion sensor. There are also 2 trail camera's in the wooded areas pointing away from the cabin. These are not intended as security cameras, but to track wildlife. Use of Firepit may be restricted from time to time due to local County burn bans. A Full set of house rules is found in the rules section, but most important: \- No parties or loud noises outside which may disturb our neighbors, including at the firepit. \- Neighborhood quiet time is after 10 pm. \- No tampering with electronic devices. \- No smoking in cabin or porch, hot tub or back of the cabin where the gas generator it located. \- No large pets allowed. Two small dogs, less than 20lb, may be allowed with express permission from host and must be registered on the booking. An additional pet fee will apply. Owners must bring their pet’s own bedding, and pets are not allowed on furniture, upstairs or in the bedrooms. Pets cannot be left in the cabin unattended and dogs are to be kept on leash when outside. Please clean up after them. Our cleaner charges $25 to pick up poop in the parking area. Thank you! \- Only registered guests at time of booking are allowed. Extra person charge of $25 per person per day. \- Guests are not allowed on the property before check in or after check out without permission from host. $50 per hour charge will apply. \- Please enjoy the stream, but please do not re locate any of the rocks as it is a natural habitat for salamanders and other wildlife and is environmentally sensitive. \- Firewood is not provided, but may be purchased at local gas stations and grocery stores.. We had family from South Carolina and from Pennsylvania meet for a 3 day weekend. The reviews that said the host has everything were not an exaggeration. All you will need is food and beverages. We loved how it was a mix of modern and cabin. The kids loved how there were a ton of stuffed bears. He also is allergic to fragrances. Host was very kind, accommodating & great to communicate with! Our son had no reactions, there were minimal entry steps & the shower had a long wand to bathe him with. We all slept great, beds were comfortable, neighborhood was quiet. One of the best places we’ve stayed. Hiked & saw lots of wildlife. Older kids had so much fun playing games, making smores & exploring. Great food nearby. Everything was as described in the listing. The property felt very homey and clean. We made use of the outdoor fire pit which was wonderful. The hot tub was in great shape, although we did not use it during the stay. The beds were comfortable and sheets very soft. The view was wonderful as well. The accomdations were immaculate, well-organized and well-stocked. The kitchen shelves were even labeled so that items could be put away in their proper places. There were ample towels, sheets, paper products, coffee, spices, etc. Our hosts - Edmund, Joshua and Hema were so thoughtful to leave us a bottle of complimentary wine and goodies - such a lovely touch! The beds were so comfortable, with an extra blanket at the foot of each one. The game room was great for family championship matches of foosball, pingpong and air hockey! While we saw no wildlife, not even a bird, (due to the recent hurricane??) we were blessed with a beautiful early morning snowfall for a few hours in this cozy cabin with a roaring fire in the fireplace to set the mood. The hot tub was a relaxing bonus after a vigorous hike. Our family is praying for the Western Carolina families and businesses who were so heavily affected by the hurricane. The Wildlife Cabin had no damages (except to the side of the firepit outside), but we did see damages in the area. We went into Asheville for a movie. Businesses were open and are welcoming tourists back to the area. The Wildlife Cabin is a great place to stay while helping to support the affected communities rebuild their economy! ##### Debbie V. It was just perfect for us, with great spaces and a great layout. The front porch was awesome; we spent so much time there after excursions.
