With nature and wildlife a focal point in the home, and trees, flowers, and grapevines above the creek at the bottom of the property, you can choose to walk the area - or enjoy them via your rocking chair on the 60 foot porch that is remIniscent of the lodges out West. Spring Lodge fit the bill perfectly! Richard gave us great directions, so that we were at Sky Retreat in 8 minutes. The house was warm and cozy, with a fantastic kitchen! The driveway is a bit tricky to get in and out of, wish it were more flat. And it would have been nice to have use of the garage, as weather was very rainy when we arrived. But overall a very nice property with lovely owners. Richard and Pat responded to my questions right away which was terrific. It is a good location for Sky Retreat, and only 25 minutes from Boone. My only regret was that we really didn’t get to spend any time there, as we were at the venue most of the time. We would love to return during the fall! ##### Christine N. We enjoyed our Christmas getaway in this lovely home! I’m a cook and a baker and they definitely had just about everything I needed to make all of my holiday meals and baked treats. I appreciated the Christmas greeting call from the owners and all of the prompt responses to our questions. The house was clean, well appointed and a very joyful space to spend time in.
