Head down to the New River and float away with river tubes, kayaks or canoes, bike along the popular Railroad Grade Road, or enjoy a freshly caught trout dinner cooked on your grill. Inside you will also enjoy Wifi, a cozy gas fireplace, central AC; plus the pool table, ping pong table, and foosball in the lower level.. ACCOMMODATIONS: Upper: Master with queen and private with large whirlpool tub and walk-in shower Main: Second bedroom with queen, third bedroom with two twins, second full bath Lower: Fourth Bedroom with queen, also lower level has full bath and wet bar, as well as game area. Welcome to Buena Vista, a beautiful home at the historic New River. This family cabin is a wonderful option for those who enjoy all the river has to offer in addition to a wonderful view in all directions. As you approach the cabin, you will be drawn to the amazing views (after all, the views even inspired the name of the home), but first step inside to see all this sunny like-new cabin has in store for your comfort – and not to worry, the large windows throughout the main level keep that view in sight! The living area offers comfortable, quality furnishings and a large stone fireplace to cozy up to during winter nights. The modern kitchen is a pleasure for the chef, with wonderful appliances and lots of counter space for meal preparation. When you are ready for your meal, this cabin has a large dining table with seating for everyone, and is surrounded by large windows to enjoy your surroundings. Or move it outside to the deck for some outdoor dining. The main level of this cabin has two bedrooms and one full bath. The first bedroom has a queen bed with country furnishings and access to the deck. The second bedroom is a great option for the kids, with two twin beds. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a queen bed, high ceilings and wonderful view. The private bath has a step-in shower and whirlpool tub. Downstairs offers the opportunity for indoor fun, with pool table, ping pong table, & foosball table. The lower level also includes one queen size bedroom, as well as a full bath. A great new feature in this home is a wet bar addition in the lower level. There is an area for the kids to play as well. Best of all, you have just a short walk down to the New River, a great stretch for fishing, floating down in a river tube, canoe or kayak. There are several nearby establishments for renting these items, or if you prefer to stay dry, why not rent some bikes and enjoy a ride along the river on the old Railroad Grade road, a popular option as it is most likely the longest flat stretch you will find in our mountain area! No matter the time of year, Buena Vista is a wonderful choice for your mountain getaway! Additional Notes: \- CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee. ​​​​​​​- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. The Location is perfect for seeing the Fall leaves and colors, and it was mostly quiet. We went with our 72 year old mother and 3 year old son. We were a tad concerned about the stairs, but they both did very well! Our son loved the basement game room. We all did! None of us stayed in the basement bedroom but it looked cozy and it along with the downstairs bathroom had heated floors. The view from the balcony was Spectacular! The rental isn't far from many of the great attractions either. The only suggestion I'd make it to bring your own pillows, theirs were a little thin for me but may work for others. I took my little girl to the mountains to celebrate her 3rd birthday and this house was such a wonderful place for us to make memories. It was very very clean and it had everything we needed. She absolutely loved the hottub! The views were gorgeous. The photos were very accurate and it was even better in person. I had a question and had to reach out after hours and got a very quick response through text from the rental company. I would definitely stay here again if we go back up to Boone! While we were out an about a lot, we wish we would have planned just a day to hang out at the cabin. The cabin was perfect for grandparents, two grown children and spouses, and grandkids. Oct 19, 2020 Liked: Check-in, location Disliked: Listing accuracy #### Beautiful Home It is a beautiful home in a great location and a nice view. The kitchen was well stocked making cooking easy. When selecting the property the amenities like the pool table, foosball and ping pong were what set this apart from other properties. The condition of these items was very disappointing. They need to be replaced or should not be listed. There were some cob webs throughout the home (not a big deal...just mentioning so cleaners can be made aware), but other then that the house was very clean. There were a LOT of spiders in the basement (over 15 killed), but the property company couldn't get spray done until after we departed. Given the time of the year, it was an annoyance but understandable. The only other challenge was that the smoke alarm started going off at @ 9:30 in the morning and we could not reset/detach it do to height of the ceilings and lack of a ladder. Our kids had on-line school so we couldn't leave. Maintenance did not show up until @ 4:30 pm to remove it. The day was pretty miserable. Overall, it is a beautiful home. The rental company was super nice and easy to work with! The house is spacious and cozy! I only gave it 4 stars because there were a few cobwebs found throughout and the pool table leg was broken and propped up on blocks but still didn't work just right. There was an issue with a couple of doors and the floor heating in the basement was not functioning, but otherwise, it was good. The only things needed are some bar stools in the basement and more rocking chairs on the porch. The only complications came with Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals communications. That warranted the loss of a star. I would definitely stay here or with another Blue Ridge Mountain Rental house again, but would be very active in calling them closer to time and making sure everything is ready and nothing has happened beforehand. ##### Melissa C. ### 10/10 Excellent #### Mary B.
