Cozy Updated Log Cabin with Mountain Views close to Monadnock
Come get away from it all and reconnect with nature at The Adventure Cabin. This 1950's log cabin has been fully updated including a new kitchen, bathroom, pellet stove and modern style without losing its cozy charm. Enjoy sweeping views of Mount Monadnock with no visible neighbors while sitting around the fire pit until the stars fill the sky. Be warned, you might not want to leave.
The Adventure Cabin was built with logs cleared from the lot and pictures of the build process are hung above the writing desk. The original character of the logs, stone and pine boards is still apparent in the cabin, now accented with modern furniture and decor.
There is a wide selection of travel guides and maps to dream up your next adventure while you unwind at the cabin. Kick back and play cards or board games in the living room or retreat to the bedroom to watch Netflix. Hang around the fire pit and soak in the view.
Enter the cabin through the enclosed porch and you will instantly feel at home. Hang your coats on the back of the door, kick off your shoes and take a load off on the plush couch.
If you choose to eat inside instead of the front porch, you will still have mountain views from the dining table. Step down from the living room into the bedroom, furnished with a 10" thick memory foam queen mattress, built-in dressers, a lounge chair and more mountain views.
The kitchen has a new electric range and fridge with plenty of room to store your haul from the many nearby breweries, Whether you make your coffee with the coffee maker, Keurig or French press, you can enjoy it on the enclosed porch with views of Mount Monadnock.
Off the kitchen, you will find the second big bedroom complete with 10" thick memory foam queen mattress, two nightstands with lamps, a smart tv and a small sitting area with original mid-century modern furniture left at the cabin, refinished with new cushions.
Our washer and dryer is currently out of service.
While a pack 'n play, highchair and a selection of kid's books is provided for our guests traveling with small children, the cabin is not fully baby proofed.
Guest Access You will have the entire cabin and surrounding 5 acres to yourself during your stay to relax in ultimate privacy. There is a punch code lock for easy self-check in.

My wife and I spent several nights with our two children (1 and 4 years old). The view from the cabin was spectacular, and the hill on the property made for great sledding. Lydia was very responsive when we needed help with one minor issue. We would consider staying again.
Well, there was a lot of snow on the ground during our stay so we couldn’t take as much advantage of the beautiful grounds and woods. We were here to do a visit to Franklin Pierce University. Great proximity to the school. Really appreciated the responsiveness of the owners. I hope to return in fall or spring to appreciate the location even more
My wife and I traveled down for Family Weekend at Franklin-Pierce and this was a perfect for what we needed. We spent most of the time with our daughter on campus/exploring the area, but the cabin was a perfect refuge to return to after all the busy-ness. Lydia was in active communication from the time we booked until the time we checked out and was very responsive anytime we had a question on something. It's obvious they want you to enjoy your stay as there isn't much you could want that isn't already present in the cabin on arrival. We ate on campus/out during our stay, but had we stayed in the kitchen was fully stocked with all the dishes and cookware we could have needed.Between the above and the distance to campus, 10 minutes, it was a perfect location, and we'll be back as college events bring us down.
Just about as perfect as they come. No frills, just a clean cabin with everything as expected. No surprises. The local wild turkeys were a nice surprise. The view from the front porch is spectacular. Next time we visit, we hope to use the fire pit.

We absolutely loved the privacy and seclusion of the property. Everything was clean and tidy, minus some trash that was left around the firepit, presumably from a previous guest, that we cleaned up. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking tools and the bathroom was just big enough. Guests should take note though that the shower was definitely a tight fit for my 6'1" husband and the furniture was also a struggle for him. One of the beds was only about 4 inches off the ground and the seating was definitely not designed to hold my big and tall husband. We would have also liked to have had curtains in the main rooms of the cabin (living room and kitchen) even with the distance between neighbors it felt uncomfortable to not be able to close the blinds at night. All in all though, we had a lovely time, there were plenty of pellets for the pellet stove and Lydia's informative messages made everything smooth and easy. We especially loved how responsive and kind our host, Lydia was. Even leaving some goodies for us upon arrival. We had a nice weekend getaway from the regular hustle and bustle while still being close enough to shopping and dining options. Would definitely recommend to others!
Loved this cozy cabin in Fitzwilliam, great location for us, and wonderful view of the mountain. Pellet stove kept is toasty warm, beds were comfortable and kitchen had all the supplies we needed. Host gave us great advice on the surrounding area. Overall we had an A stay.
We had a great wintertime getaway. The pellet stove kept us cozy while we played games, watched some shows, watched some snow fall, and disconnected for the weekend. We bought groceries and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook and enjoy our seclusion. The shower is small, but water warmed up quickly and was very comfortable. Would love to stay here again.
Great cabin - comfortable, very clean & nicely furnished. Everything was as advertised in the listing. Kitchen is well-stocked. Internet speeds were good - no issues working over VPN or streaming video.

I loved the Beautiful Views and the peace and Quite.
A simple but lovely cabin. The kitchen had all the basics, nothing fancy, but worked for the few meals we had there. Lots of great eateries nearby, too. The only drawback was the very small shower for my tall husband, otherwise, it was a great place for the 4 of us to stay during a family reunion.
This beautiful hide away cabin is an absolutely incredible space. The simplicity of the cabin is complimented with the awe of waking up to Mount Monadnock. Start a fire in the fire pit...make s'mores. Simply unforgettable - grateful for this experience!!
We were staying for a few days to visit a nearby destination, and we both needed to do a little work while we were there. There was plenty of room (in different rooms) for us both to work, and the internet connection was solid. There are also comfy chairs to sit and read and a wonderful outdoor area to chill out and soak in the summer and beautiful view. The bathroom is cramped, as mentioned in the description, but not a problem if your expectations are set, as ours were. The coffeemakers and pantry staples were welcome for when we needed a little something before going out for the day. It's nice to have a small place to stay, and even better when, like this, there are several rooms to use for work or pleasure. Recommended!
We LOVED our stay. We felt deep in the woods. So much privacy without being far away. The place is tasteful, so comfortable and gorgeous while still giving off a rustic vibe. We felt responded to and well cared for by our host. We enjoyed playing games indoors, exploring through the woods, walking through the neighborhood, playing at the community entrance to the lake, and - a short drive away - climbing Mt. Monadnock! Lots of family bonding. Wonderful weekend!!!
The property was amazing. We had a wonderful time! The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed for a small place. The only downside was that the internet was virtually unusable. We had to turn off wifi on our phones and use the limited cell service available in the area. Since we were only there to relax, it was not a big issue. I would definitely rent again.
Great little cabin for our family of 4. We enjoyed the amenities of the home as well as the local scenery and towns. The only issues we encountered were not being able to enter the property upon arrival (this was promptly solved by the owner, however) and the lack of internet (which, honestly, was not really an issue since it helped my husband and I disconnect from work). We hiked, played games, cooked meals, had several fires outside, visited nearby towns, and generally got to know the area. :)
This cabin is in a lovely, peaceful setting and a great location. Both bedrooms were spacious, as well as the living room and kitchen. Plenty of windows with great views. The bathroom is small, shower stall very small, but water pressure great. The washing machine is very noisy and the clothes are still drenched when finished. One of the beds was on the floor - not good for older renters with bad knees. The most comfortable chairs were the ones on the front porch - the best place in the cabin to hang out. With a few improvements, we would definitely stay here again!
The cabin was great- had everything we needed and the most amazing view. It was well equipped in the kitchen and Lydia left a snack amenity for us which was really nice. The living room area had some great pictures of the cabin when it was built along with travel books and maps which were fun to go through. The pellet stove was really nice and kept the place warm and comfortable. We went outside a few times at night and the stars here were outstanding, some of the best we've seen in a while. The bed had a memory foam mattress and was very comfortable. Lydia was excellent at communicating leading up to and during the trip. She emailed instructions a few days prior which included local recommendations. The property had an amazing view of Mount Monadnock and was cool to walk around the property. Would definitely recommend.
