The photos do not do the propert justice! It is generously sized with more than adequate room for family gatherings and sleeping arrangements. We played games arround the fireplace and watched movies after long days of skiing. The amenities in the kitchen were awesome. Closeness to the slopes was perfect! Our non- skiiers were able to hang out at the house and meet up with us at the lodge for dinner and it was onlt a 10 min drive. We would definitely stay again. There were 10 of us that comfortably shared the house - 5 adults and 5 kids aged 11 and under. Loved the fact that there were two living rooms, a great deck, access to kayaks and bikes! But the rest of our problems were from the information not shared and the technical devices required in order to function in that house. Couldn't get any TV's to work until we got the recreation room TV to work through a hotspot we had on one phone which then ran out of gigs. Other Tv's never worked. Couldn't get details of rental because my i-phone 6 doesn't have enough ios to get the vrbo app. Two of our college student grandkids left on the second day because they couldn't get school work done without WiFi. Two other students may have suffered from not getting school work done online. Grandma wanted to leave the first night with the cold and lack of TV which she has on night and day at home. We came to watch the Super Bowl and would have missed that because of using up all the hotspot phone gigs by Sunday. Saved by renewal of new month of gigs from start of new service cycle on the phone. Assumptions and expectations of the level of function of the renter is way beyond what we are familiar with. We are not up to date with the latest devices and experience with streaming, etc. At least the Owner/vrbo should have described what it takes to communicate with them and run the equipment in the place. To say there are TV's in bedrooms which we could never figure out how to operate is misleading. The decoration of the place and all the amenities otherwise were great - but I am a practical person. With a high price we sure felt ripped off by not even having what we have operating at home. We have a Smart TV at home. We aren't up with social media, but we all are educated - adults have bachelor's , master's, or Ph.D degrees. Three grandkids at Ohio State. This was a nightmare. I hope we took care of all the steps for departure, since I couldn't access the information online. I am sure we did better than the Owner/vrbo. I couldn't check my home security, on and on with related issues. ##### Doug K. The lake is just a walk across the street and there are quaint shops. We were able to snowmobile right onto the designated trail from the house and peak n peak is a short 6 mile drive. The house was very clean, the beds were incredibly comfortable, the setting was serene and the backyard hot tub was the best. There were a lot of toys that we were not expecting and it made the weekend extra special for our children. The snow fell for 2 days straight and the secluded setting of trees and lake made it a magical winter wonderland. The plow came to plow the driveway every day. The house could benefit from having a welcome booklet for guests to go through all the little details that one needs when staying at someone else's home. The home and land are absolutely perfect. Very clean, well maintained and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed a lot of time outside riding bikes, kayaking, walking in the lovely fall foliage and enjoying the hot tub and fire pit. The kids loved the trampoline which was an added bonus. They’re already asking when we can go back! The Findley Lake area is quaint and has everything you need. There are a lot of interesting things to check out in the surrounding area, which we hope to do on another visit. Jen was also very responsive, accommodating and flexible. It was very clean. Impeccable. Very well stocked. From LOTS of toilet paper, to dishwasher and dish soap, laundry detergent and dryer sheets, trash bags, coffee filters etc. Way more than enough dishes, glasses, coffee cups, and even wine glasses and margherita glasses. Lots of pots and pans. There is a tv in every bedroom and a large one in the back LR. My favorite part of the house is the yard. It was HUGE! Very private. Not another house anywhere in the vicinity. Having a volleyball net would be great. Plenty of room for that. We brought our Amazon echo so we could listen to music. WiFI was excellent. No issues there. Beds were comfortable. I really hate to mention anything negative, but I am, for the sake of improvement and to be helpful. I can tell the owner, Jen, really cares about making her place the best it can be. One thing that was of a big deal to us: We went to get into the hot tub and the temp was only registering 85, and not even warm. It looked like a simple control panel. Up and down arrows for hot/cool. So we kept pushing the up arrow on warm to try to increase the temp. There weren't any instructions on how to operate the hot tub. We finally thought to google the model of the hot tub, and looked up the manual that way. This was probably around 6-7pm? It took the hot tub overnight to finally get hot. We discovered that the hot tub had been in "sleep mode". We didn't discover the manual for hot tub, until the day before check out. It was in a basket on the desk in between LR and DR. So my biggest suggestion would be to have a welcome binder in clear sight. Coffee table, or diningroom table with instructions for the hot tub and also the tvs. Another problem, was we closed the bunkroom door, not knowing it was locked and then couldn't get back in! We finally found the key in a box by the front door. The ceiling fan in the front LR didn't work. Sometimes it was kind of muggy. There is a window AC in the bunkroom and master. The window in the double queen/pink room didn't open, and the couple in there were hot. The master bedroom is generally your "best" bedroom. The tv in there was the smallest. About 15". Also no dresser. So rather than the chair/a dresser would be nice. As would a small clock. Another refrigerator would be great. Even a small one. Bringing our dog was great!
