"First off, the hotel itself was nice enough and the location was just minutes to downtown Dallas so that was great. The staff were really nice and check-in was a breeze. Plenty of parking and breakfast was standard. The only downside to this hotel is that this place sits right off a busy road and when I mean busy, I mean cars are on the road going 75 miles plus an hour all the time. It is hard to notice when you're checking in, but as soon as you enter your room (and we were facing the roadway), the noise is atrocious. Tru does provide ear plugs, but that is never a welcoming sight. I was not able to sleep the first night even with the earplugs and my noise cancelling earphones. The second night was a little better as I was so exhausted from not sleeping the previous night, but even then I slept for maybe a total of one hourish. Just be prepared to either REALLY plug your ears or if you're a really heavy sleeper, then this place will be just fine. "

"I have stayed at this property when it was under another corporate owner. The recent makeover has created a fresher venue. I had an issue with some of the lights in my room, and I could not get the shower door to stay closed. I raised the issues with the front desk; they were addressed straightaway. I was not happy with the parking arrangement. Long story short, the hotel wants $46 for overnight valet parking. I do not need or want valet parking; I prefer to park my car. "

"I would have given it a 5 ratings if those pillows were not wrinkled cause it looks like someone had already used it and they were not fluffy enough. Also the accessible room that they gave us has no chair inside the bathroom."
