Our home is very spacious and beautifully decorated with Bob Timberlake and Charleston Forge furniture mixed with antiques and oriental rugs. Every room has a view of Grandfather mountain and the view is a 180' view of the Blue Ridge mountains. Each of the three bedrooms has its own private bath (two of the baths have jetted tubs-the master bath has a separate shower, also). Two of the bedrooms (including the King Master suite and a Queen-size bedroom) and the loft with a Queen-size sofa bed are on the second floor. The Master suite even has a gas fireplace. There is a third bedroom on the first floor with a Queen-size bed. The Great room has a 24-foot Tennessee field stone wood-burning fireplace and triple windows and doors to take advantage of the view. The dining room has seating for 8 and a bar with seating for 4\. The kitchen with beautiful granite countertops is equipped for the gourmet cook with double ovens, a gas cook-top, a side by side refrigerator with ice and water dispensers, Kitchen Aid stand mixer, coffee grinder, and many other amenities too numerous to mention. The location is secluded and peaceful, but being in Leatherwood and near Boone makes it easy to get go grab food or find a fun activity. The house itself is lovely and well cared for by the owners. The kitchen is well-stocked and all of the furniture is clean and comfortable. Of course, the views were spectacular and since we were there near Christmas, we go to see the spectacular Christmas tree the owners had put up. Last, but not least, the owners a friendly, professional, and easy to communicate with.In short, this is a great vacation rental for a secluded mountain getaway. We cooked all but two of our meals in and the kitchen is wonderfully stocked. The openness of the cabin assures that while I was cooking I could also be a part of what my family was doing in the living space. Lastly, Meda is exceptional to work with. Meda clearly loves this home and takes excellent care of it. It is the most well-stocked home we have ever stayed in, and our family has a long history of renting vacation homes. If you need it, chances are it will be there. Spectacular views from the back porch, the screened porch, the HOT TUB! As others have indicated, I cannot stress enough, that this home is out there. It's a beautiful piece of earth and everything is worth it. If you're looking to really "get away from it all" - this is definitely the home for you. Thank you, Meda! Every time I felt like I needed something, it was there. We enjoyed the fireplace, the tree, the deck, the view, the trails....well just everything. You could easily host a houseful here as the kitchen was so well stocked with dishes, glasses, serving pieces and really nice cook ware. We re only three and a grand puppy. But we were oh so comfortable. It did not feel like we were in a rental. It felt like we were in home that someone loved. We truly enjoyed our pre Christmas visit. ##### Joann E.
