It was in the location I needed, lots of local restaurants and fast food like Burger King. It was nice to have coffee and coffee machine in the room, I would suggest more packages of coffee.. As an older person a smoking room on the ground floor would be preferred.
We have stayed at this hotel for 2 years as part of the USA Swimming National Meet. We appreciate the convenience to the pool and relationship with USA Swimming. The hotel staff is very helpful and pleasant. A few issues that happened again this trip were the breakfast accomodations not being available for the athletes on Saturday morning early enough prior to them leaving for the pool. I discussed this last year with the front desk prior and was assured they would open earlier but the restaurant staff was not made aware. This happened again this visit with the same advance notice. As the host hotel for this event it should be prepared for the event schedule and understand athletes will need to eat 6:30-7 for a 7:30 warmup session. It would be nice if they offered a complimentary breakfast for athletes but this is not included in the room rate.
We were looking for something safe and inexpensive and that's what we got. Front desk staff was helpful getting us a room that didn't smell like smoke. Second room was great and it met our expectations.
In between Seattle to the north and Tacoma to the south, Federal Way offers easy access to both cities via freeway or at its transit center hub. Originally a logging settlement, Federal Way is now home to a large Korean community and the Weyerhaeuser Company. Federal Way’s many parks include the 12-acre Dumas Bay Centre, Dash Point State Park, and the West Hylebos Wetlands Park.
