The pool had an eye burning overwhelming clorine smell and I was pretty unhappy to find that the house keeping staff came in my room and cleaned when I was gone and organized my stuff. They're not suppose to touch your stuff at all. Also, on the day of my check out, they knocked on my door at 9am and again at 1030am. Check out time was 12pm.. next time I'll try to remember to keep the do not disturb sign on my door.
Very good location to walk in shopping mall, walmart and asian market (Korean H mart)
Extended facility working hours ( swimming pool until 11 and coin laundry 24 hours)
Rollaway bed only $10/night
At night very quiet from main street but you can hear little bit of airplane final approching sound not many not super noisy. Airplane were high enough. SeaTac airport is about 18 to 25 min away , depend on traffic. I leave 8:30 am arrived 9:00 at rental car return
We were looking for something safe and inexpensive and that's what we got. Front desk staff was helpful getting us a room that didn't smell like smoke. Second room was great and it met our expectations.
The hotel is close to a corner that is very busy. It was a little tricky getting into the parking lot because of the traffic pattern. That being said, the noise wasn't that noticeable in the room. The drapes were different. There were two sets of sheers and a set of drapes that were for looks only. If the rod had gone across the entire width of the window, it would have blocked the sunrise. We used a clothespin to secure the drapes closed. We felt uncomfortable that perhaps people passing by in the cars might be able to see right into the room after dark with the lights on in the room. The hotel had been recently purchased by Red Lion and there were plans posted in the lobby of the improvements that were planned. Rosie at the front desk was polite and charming. She smiled and appeared to like her job. The breakfast was full and hot at the beginning of the posted time. My son ate later and said there wasn't much left. (He should get up earlier, I say!) This is the first hotel that I have seen shampoo, conditioner and liquid soap in a wall container. I think this is a step in the right direction... less packaging and waste to landfills. Kudos!
"Nice hotel but condition is different from booking"
This hotel is conveniently located off major freeway. Facility is relatively new and inviting. However, I booked a suite for 4 adults and a child. In the room description during booking at Expedia, it said the sofa bed is Queen size. But it is actually a full size, which is a little tight for 2 adults. Also the bedding and towels were not prepared for 5 guests. We had to request after our arrival.
This hotel is a budget hotel so it is unreasonable to expect everything to be new and perfect. For the price, it is OK. The bed linens and towels were very clean. However, the carpet is stained and the furniture is fairly worn. Most important, the AC worked great.
"Just wanted a nice, clean motel for a decent price"
The only complaint I have is there was no hot water. If I had been staying longer it would have been an issue. We were on the 3rd floor and they may have had hot water on the lower floors, but they should find a fix, Everybody wants hot water,
In between Seattle to the north and Tacoma to the south, Federal Way offers easy access to both cities via freeway or at its transit center hub. Originally a logging settlement, Federal Way is now home to a large Korean community and the Weyerhaeuser Company. Federal Way’s many parks include the 12-acre Dumas Bay Centre, Dash Point State Park, and the West Hylebos Wetlands Park.
