When this listing came up we decided it would be a great new experience as we have never stayed in a yurt before. We had a short drive to explore Mount Airy and we also went hiking at Stone Mountain. Both were within reasonable distance from the yurt. Plus driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway was enjoyable. The yurt had everything needed and was VERY clean. Much cleaner than previous places we have stayed, very appreciated! Note to people renting this yurt. Do not bring a lower vehicle or you may have challenges getting into yurt. I was glad we brought our truck. No need for 4wd but the clearance definitely helped. The yurt was not as remote as we were hoping for. There was another yurt a stones throw away and a house about the same distance. Also, depending on the clouds and traffic conditions you can hear the semi trucks on the interstate. The views from the yurt were phenomenal and the sunrises are worth getting up early for! Overall my wife and I truly enjoyed our first time staying in a yurt! ##### Scott E.
