Convenient downtown property within easy walking distance of many shops, restaurants, museums, post office, banks, bus station, visitor center, and coffee houses. Six blocks to the beautiful Chena River that flows through the city. Property has free off-street parking on adjacent alley. Completely renovated with quality, high-end finishes and has a clean, modern look. The rental is the upper floor of the house, approximately 500 square feet, with total privacy. Features include large bathroom with vanity, mirrored medicine cabinet & light bar, shower and storage closet. Bedroom area has queen size sled bed, large closet with organizer, iron and board, air conditioner, nightstands, and room darkening, cordless blinds. Living room has dividing screen, futon (which folds down to a full bed), wicker easy chair, and wicker rocking chair, coat and shoe rack, flat screen smart TV with WiFi connection and local channels, Alaska magazines, books & pictures, along with puzzles and card games. Kitchen has large peninsula with four comfortable counter stools, lots of white cabinets, including one with glass-front, stainless-steel appliances, microwave, and double sinks. It has a Keurig coffee maker, toaster, some cooking seasonings and supplies, kitchen utensils, dishes, and cookware. The owner installed air conditioning upon our request, although we never needed to use it. One suggestion for improvement would be to put something on the floor of the shower to make it non-slippery. The home is conveniently located, tastefully decorated, well equipped, and CLEAN. It is on a corner lot, in a relatively quiet area. It was a great base of operations. I did a day trip to Denali 2ish hours, one way. Worth every minute! And a half day in the Chena Lakes area, easy 25 minutes one way, also beautiful. Mar 2, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Fairbanks Winter Getaway We booked the studio rental for 8 nights in late Feb. 2025.Great "base camp" in downtown Fairbanks for the two of us to see the city and the surrounding areas.Communication with the owners, Marilyn & Ryle was easy and prompt, including before and during our stay.Well maintained and clean property with plenty of the "basics" (towels, utensils, paper goods, easy to use appliances, etc.) provided.Comfortable, open space with good lighting and seating and plenty of games / puzzles / reading material for your in-house time.Your own parking space right outside. Quiet area with access to good local food and local sites/shopping. We caught some of the minor winter weather and found roads were plowed, sidewalks shoveled and the property walkway/steps were cleaned promptly.If we return to Fairbanks again, this will be our first choice for a temporary residence.John & Donna S. ##### Donna S.
