The home is a duplex, with the VRBO unit on the lower level. Because of the windows and the unit is walk out, it does not feel like a downstairs. The Nottingham House is located in the hills above Fairbanks, providing a quiet private location that is an easy drive to much to much of Fairbanks, including downtown, University of Alaska, Pioneer Park and the airport. The privacy allows quiet views of the stunning winter sunrises, as well as extended animal viewing in the back yard (we sometimes see moose!). With the large, south-facing windows, guests are able to experience the light of Fairbanks at all stages of the year. The unit can accommodate up to 8 guests with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, an open kitchen and living room area, a dining area, and laundry room. Additionally, there are two pullout couches: one in the living room and one in the master bedroom. Please note that more than 4 guests will add an additional charge of $25 each/night. The large primary bedroom has a queen bed, tiled bathroom, and has a sitting area with a pull out full bed that can be walled off with sliding pocket doors to create a semi-private second bedroom. Another tiled bathroom services the other bedroom, with queen bed, to accommodates the rest of your family. The kitchen is stocked with amenities and small appliances for preparing your meals. Contemporary, open kitchen and dining room invite warm family gatherings. The tiled showers and bathrooms are elegant and spacious. With its prime location and amenities, the Nottingham House is a perfect place to stay while visiting Fairbanks with your group. Up to 8 people can stay together in our lovely home. It’s clear Brittany has thought of everything a guest could need. The special touches she added made our stay truly special, and we were so impressed by the amenities, including a French press and a rice cooker!The focus on guest comfort was evident everywhere, especially the beds: the mattresses were very comfortable, and the memory foam pillows were a huge bonus.The beautiful location made our trip unforgettable. We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights right from the back yard!We plan on booking again next time we are in Fairbanks. We arrived late and followed a well lit path to the door. The key pad was easy to operate and we walked into a beautiful space that exceeded our expectations. This was the cleanest rental we have ever stayed in. Everything was well thought out and tastefully decorated. The kitchen had everything you could possible desire including a French press. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom floor is heated. There are two full bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. A floor fan was provided, which is good if you're used to sleeping with on. They had a very well equipped kitchen, great layout, thoughtful stocking of kleenex and lotion for the dry winter conditions, very clean walkway outside with an easy plug for the car. The only thing that would have made it perfect was if the second bedroom was larger. The door was also unique with clear segments and a pull curtain so it wasn't completely private for our friend. We were able to see the Northern Lights from the back yard. It was close to town for restaurants and shopping. Brittany was very responsive and very helpful answering all of our questions. The communication and all the directions were very clear and everything was just like the photos. It was so nice to have multiple spaces to spread out and relax, eat, etc. We were very comfortable hanging out and cooking in the home all together. The yard was lovely and we felt far away while still being very close to everything we needed in town and to the airport. Everything was very clean and I especially appreciated the unscented products and the house just smelled fresh without any artificial fragrances! A huge plus!! The appliances were all really nice, and the washer/ dryer were so nice to have available! There were plenty of plush towels, cleaning and personal products, extra supplies, kitchen appliances, dishes, etc. for all 6 days we were there. There were 3 adults and 2 kids in our group, so the only downside was the pull out couch. It was VERY uncomfortable, where the hard metal frame was all we could feel. We ended up with the mattress on the floor. Not ideal, but better than on the frame. There were so many pluses though, it's still a 5 star place overall, especially for anyone only using the 2 beds! Lastly, our trip was planned to try and see the northern lights. While we didn't see them from the property (too many lights and trees, south facing), we were only 30 minutes away from Murphy Dome and had lots of success, going up there! ##### Amy F.
