« Property was fantastic for a last-minute trip to Morgantown to meet friends and family. Everything was as listed in the property description, and we found it a comfortable, clean and welcoming place to stay. We loved the proximity to the lake, the walking distance to the restaurant, and convenient driving distance to downtown and trails of Morgantown and surrounding areas.We also appreciated the high quality, linens, and kitchen supplies. « The beautiful wrap-around porch with several different seating options was our first hint that we could all spread out comfortably. The 9 of us, including 2 toddlers and a dog, had plenty of room, whether in one of the many bedrooms, in the library, the dining area, or the family room. Over 3 days, we never tired of examining the old photographs and paintings that filled every room. We enjoyed reading a brief history of the property in the family's binder and discovering that George Washington...

One note: there is only one ac unit but plenty of fans were provided. Melanie is a very gracious host and accessible. The location was perfect for our weekend activities but honestly the best times were spent in the house, taking it all in and hours on chatting on the porch. We will definitely return! »

« Stopped at the Stone House Inn after a day of winter hiking in Ohiopyle. Our group of 4 friends had an incredible experience at the inn- the location was convenient for traveling in Ohiopyle, and the rooms were cozy with some great history. Games and breakfast were provided, dessert at the restaurant was amazing, and we were so pleasantly surprised. We will absolutely come back! »
