"Stayed in the annex. It had a/c which was very much needed on the day we stayed. In the 70’s. A/C was on when we entered the room which was great. Good location for boat tours. Good parking. However, if you plan on anyone sleeping on the futon in the den be aware it is hard a brick. Also double check to make sure linens are in the room for futon....we discovered very late our first frst night there were no linens. "The photos of the outside make it look drab but inside it's nice, clean, modern. Staff friendly and helpful. It's on one side of the highway. Be careful not to overshoot it. It is on the right as you come in, down below the highway level. If you drive over to the other side, you are one minute away from the docks and the area where tourists show up at the offices to join their boat tours. Parking on the other side is crowded, though, so give yourself time to find a spot."

"Funky, historic, old Alaska building. If you like to experience a little bit of history, this is your place. You’re not staying in a Marriott, just remember that. The floors creak and the door is thin, but you’re inside a building with a locked entrance door at street level with just six apartments upstairs, so it feels safe.
