Staff as helpful as language barrier allowed. Maid service was optional but they did clear the bins and changed the towels once during our stay. No complaints there. Only problem was they ignored our request at booking, for a no step room, and although we did get one after we pointed out my husband cannot do stairs but the only one remaining had no working shutter so we had no access to daylight for the whole time we were there.

Good for the Money

This is a pretty basic hotel - but then it's advertised as that, so you can't really complain. The rooms are in a separate block from reception, accessed via exteral walkways for the upper floors, so each room opens to the outside. It was comfortable and clean, the breakfast was excellent, and the EV chargers worked without a problem. The windows don't have curtains, there's a wind-down shutter on the outside. This was broken on the first room we were offered, but we were quickly moved to another room. It was a bit noisy in the early hours of the morning with vans coming to pick up migrant workers who were staying there, but overall, it's a good, cheap place for an overnight stop when you're travelling.

It was OK for a quick stay on route to other destinations if you are driving and need parking. The town was close enough by car but most restaurants were closed on Sunday so it was a challenge to find a place to eat.

Staff were obliging, room clean, car park adequate, security staff there as not really a tourist hotel. All went well and good continental breakfast for under £10. It would be easier to find with more signage on main roads nearby

Our stay at Campnile, Evreux

We arrived after a long journey from Etaules in the Charante. The lady at Reception was warm and welcoming. She spoke English and was extremely helpful explaining about mealtime and giving us directions to a nearby supermarket. The room and facilities were adequate for our stay and very clean. The free WIFI was a bonus because we had poor reception at the gite. The evening meal was good but the only downside was no main meal choice. We will recommend this hotel to our friends

Wish I could give a better review.

Looked freshly painted walls. Floor not nice, needed replacing, badly cracked sink, chipped bath, curtain needed extra hanging clips, rock hard bed and 2 tiny uncomfortable pillows. Glad to restart our journey. Wouldn,t book again or recommend.

Room was bright and clean but the bath was worn and had no plug. The shower slide bar bracket was loose and the slide was missing so I had to hold the shower head to take a shower.

Firstly the pillow was not confortable at all it felt like i slept on a bed without a pillow. Secondly it's was a disater for the bathrom. There were fecal remains in the toilet as if the brush had not been used and that's because there was no brush provided. I know it's low cost hotel but the minimum needs to be done.

Ça a été difficile d'entrer : le parking était fermé par un portail dont je n'avais pas le code : il a fallu que je téléphone pour l'avoir. Pourquoi ne pas le transmettre avec le message de réservation ? Personnel du soir très aimable. Malheureusement elle ne m'a pas demandé si je désirais un petit-déjeuner. Le lendemain la réceptionniste m'a bienfait comprendre que je n'étais pas prévue au programme du petit-déjeuner ! Chambre confortable et propre. Le radiateur de la salle de bain était en panne
