The heating, cleanliness, water pressure, WiFi were all great. The kitchen was basic and the neighborhood didn’t have amazing food options, but it was a great launching pad for exploring Arcata, Clam Beach, Trinidad and the state parks. ##### Katherine H. Interesting design with knocks and crannies. It was comfortable with lots of room for our family. It is located close to the Old Town area. We walked to Los Bagels for coffee and treats. Very cozy and perfect for what we were looking for. We stayed here so that we could spend our time hiking and exploring the red woods. We enjoyed a sea kayaking experience and enjoyed wonderful 4th of July fireworks all within comfortable driving distance from the house. The stove was very similar to the one my grandmother had in her home. It worked beautifully and was nostalgic for me. We enjoyed shopping in downtown Eureka and were pleasantly surprised with the amazing thrift stores and other boutiques. We also really enjoyed the doughnut shop that is just around the corner. They were so delicious and the real deal. This is a town on its way up again. That being said, the neighborhood is a bit adventurous. We, however, we always felt very safe at the house and while out in town. Being an adventurous family we have lots of funny memories that are sure to be family lore.
