We enjoyed the games and books as well and the views with the fall leaves were really pretty. I also enjoyed seeing the host's artwork around the home as well as learning about some of the history. It was a pretty clean home, however the window sill in the kitchen was dirty and covered in dead bugs, there was a lot of old bird poop on the porch and some of the rooms smelled a bit musty. Our goal was to go birdwatching at the refuge and this was conveniently located to that as well as easy to get downtown for shopping and restaurants. For us, birding on the property was also enjoyable. Just the type of place we love to stay. Everything inside was clean, cozy and well decorated, even some homey Christmas decorations. Downtown Eufaula has some wonderful antique shops. We also recommend that you cross the bridge over the Chattahoochee river into Georgetown Georgia and eat at Michelle’s, the price and food are phenomenal!
