The Mountain home (license #3407) is the perfect family retreat . Nestled against Prospect Mountain in a quiet neighborhood in Estes Park, this cabin provides ample lodging for up to 16 people with unparalleled entertainment options on the property. Estes Park is a wonderful place to visit and we want to be able to offer our home for many years to come. In order to make your stay enjoyable and to keep our license in good standing with the town, please read and acknowledge the few items below before you book this property! This home is permitted by the town of Estes for 16 people (regardless of age) and six cars. No trailers or pull behinds of any kind are allowed to be parked on the property or the street. This home is in a quiet neighborhood and no parties or events are allowed. There are quiet hours in the neighborhood of 9pm-8am. This home has comfortable beds, and all linens and towels are provided. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and appliances and there is an outdoor gas grill for guest use. With 7 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, two family rooms on the main level, and a large finished basement with a family room, game area and theatre room, there is lots of room for adults and kids to spread out and have their own space to relax and entertain themselves. Enjoy the views of Mount Olympus from the front yard or Prospect Mountain from the back of the chalet. Throughout the cabin is an entertainment paradise! The cinema room includes a 75" flat screen smart TV with Netflix and cinema seating. For the 'kid in you', or the kids themselves, there is a ping pong table, pool table, and classic arcade games! The family activities continue outside the cabin. Surrounding the property is a 3-hole disc golf course and basketball court (available in summer) that the kids and adults will love! In the backyard, you can enjoy the evenings in the 8-person over-sized hot tub as you look up at the amazing starry mountain night sky. If you're up for a short hike, there are two great mountains nearby, Lily Mountain and Prospect Mountain. Both have amazing 360 views of Estes and the valley. Wildlife abounds, so bring your camera! Downtown Estes is only a fives away. Enjoy the old salt water taffy shop, the decadent candy store or find your gemstone at the famous rock shop. There are several breweries in town, including the popular Rock Cut Brewery, a local’s favorite. Penelope's has the best burgers around, so be sure to check it out! Less than 10 minutes away is the famous Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP). A must-see while in Estes, RMNP has breathtaking views, wildlife, and hiking trails that everyone must experience to believe. Don’t miss it! You are bound to see wildlife while in Estes, and there's a great chance you will see elk, deer and even wild turkey around the property. It was a moment’s drive from all the favorite spots in Estes but off the beaten path to enjoy the quiet. The video and game room kept the kids busy. The location is good. The kitchen was well stocked. However, when the property was handed over to us there were several safety issues (a door to a bedroom locked a person inside when it was closed, a row of theater seats were not bolted down so they flipped backwards when they were sat in - it is dark in the room so you couldn’t tell until you sat down, the sliding door to the deck and several windows still do not close nor lock. The deck has several issues with the grill, igniter button, deck surface, and lighting. The blue ray did not work in the theater room. There were no instructions for using the primary amenities of the property. The owners did respond quickly to a few of the liability problems even though it meant Sunday work for maintenance staff. They also were prompt in responding to requests regarding early entry, and regarding the availability of high chairs etc for the kids. Due to these safety issues and other general cleanliness issues we would not stay here again nor recommend it to those we know, especially considering the price for a week’s rental. Owners did not seem to be interested in suggestions for improvement. I guess we were supposed to assume no A/C because it was not listed versus having the listing say ‘no a/c’. ##### Julie L. Unfortunately, the experience was filled with unnecessary stress, miscommunication, and false accusations. We did receive one noise complaint, and police came by once. We were respectful, spoke with the officers, and immediately quieted down. There were no further visits or issues, yet the host later claimed that police had come multiple times and said she was instructed to evict us — which was completely false and incredibly upsetting.Worse, the host insisted that only I (the bride) was allowed to communicate with her, and when a friend tried to help with a minor issue, she treated it as a violation. She called me at midnight the night before my wedding to threaten eviction — an incredibly inappropriate and stressful time to make such a call. I had no time to manage logistics or conflict resolution on my wedding day, and this added unnecessary emotional strain.We also dealt with a broken fridge and non-functioning AC, which made the stay physically uncomfortable. After we checked out, the host falsely accused us of breaking a toilet and ruining sheets, which we absolutely did not do. Thankfully, I had taken a video of the property before we left — and I highly recommend future guests do the same to protect themselves from similar false claims. ##### Payton S. Stairs to back porch are mildly dangerous and in need of replacement. Both common bathrooms were missing shower curtains and/or liners. Owner did not respond when queried. Had to buy our own replacements.None of that is that big of a deal, but it's bizarre for the money and it's trivial stuff to just take care of if you give a damn about your guests and their experience at your B&B.Overall we enjoyed our stay, but what we got was a place devoid of anything else. I think if I ran a Vrbo, I'd ensure that the bathrooms work fully, and that the house & grounds was reasonably well kept up, rather than looking like something I was running into the ground for maximum extraction. ##### Steven W. There was plenty of space for 16 people. The theater, arcade and hot tub were all a hit. The weather was good and we enjoyed sitting on the deck watching herds of elk stroll by. It's close to the shops in downtown Estes, RMNP and hiking trails. Comfortably had 3 couples and 4 singles with their own spaces.
