Minutes to Rocky Mountain National Park & w/ an EV charger, our retreat offers a king master suite, open dining/living area, kid\`s play loft, queen bedroom & 2nd bath. The sofa bed in the living room accommodates 2 more. \- Private hot tub \- 1 gig Internet for work \- Charge your car! \- Marys Lake nearby (fishing!) Great for families up to 6. Real quick -- house rules (by booking, you agree to these) \- No parties, smoking or events \- Dogs allowed but must be on the reservation \- Check in 4pm or later; check out 10am or earlier \- 2 cars & 6 guests max \- On checkout, guests start a load of dishes & a laundry load of towels \- Outdoor fire pits are illegal \- 4WD/AWD mandatory from Oct to May (steep driveway & winter weather) My family is so excited to host your vacation in our modern mountain cabin, which we built ourselves recently on the side of Prospect Mountain. We love the commanding view from our deck and living room, the fact that the nearby open space serves as a wildlife corridor, and our modern aesthetic of our home. Feel free to charge your car on our EV charger! As young parents ourselves, we hope you enjoy the games and books for your own kids, and can use our space as a great basecamp for your family adventures. Our 1050-square-foot home, built in 2016, offers 2 bedrooms and 2 baths all one one floor. You\`ll find a full and well-stocked kitchen, an open dining/living room, a full washer and dryer for your own use, plus an upstairs kid\`s play area in the loft. The home\`s location is perfect -- it\`s on the west side of town, which means you won\`t get bogged down in the city center\`s traffic each morning as you head out for your adventures. The Beaver Meadows entry gate (the main gate to the Park) is about 7 minutes away, and Marys Lake, which offers fun fishing and evening picnics, is about .4 miles away. Our favorite restaurants (Bird and Jim and the Bird\`s Nest) and local grocer (Country Supermarket) are 1 mile down the hill, while the heart of downtown is 3 miles. Please ensure you have a suitable vehicle during the winter months of October to May. That means 4WD or AWD. Estes sits at 7,500\` and winter storms can at times be intense. BEDROOMS Our home offers 2 bedrooms. A master suite just off the living area features a king bed and an attached bathroom, and for privacy, a second queen bedroom and bathroom is on the opposite side of the house. Additional guests (to a max of 6) can sleep on the pull out sofa in the living room. LIVING & ENTERTAINMENT Living Room -There\`s a smart television so you can stream away with your Netflix, Amazon Prime, Sling, Hulu, or other account. We have a big dining table, but also have a social kitchen island so everyone can hang out. The raised deck is the ideal place for an afternoon or evening glass of wine and meal. WIFI - Our home has 1 gig fiber WiFi, allowing everyone to stream or work remote. KIDS\` PLAY AREA - We offer a bunch of toys and games for kids (plus bean bag chair!) in a small carpeted loft area. It\`s a great place to nap, read, take a time out. COOKING & LAUNDRY KITCHEN - Our kitchen is fully stocked, with a full size oven, stove, fridge/freezer and all the cooking amenities you may need: sharp new knives, cookie sheets, baking supplies, pots, pans, etc. That being said, there are a ton of awesome restaurants super close by: Bird and Jim, Scratch Deli, Smokin\` Dave\`s BBQ, and the Rock Inn. One of our best breweries, Rock Cut, is about a 5-10 minute walk. LAUNDRY - Feel free to use the free laundry facilities in the laundry closet near the dining table. DISTANCES \+ Marys Lake, Supermarket, Restaurants: 1 min drive \+ National Park Entrance: 5 min drive \+ Golfing: 7 min drive \+ Downtown: 7 min drive \+ Backcountry Skiing at Hidden Valley: 20 min drive \+ Eldora Ski Resort: 50 min drive Guests enjoy access to our home, though our garage is set aside for personal storage. Our home includes: 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms 1 kitchen/dining/living area Giant mud room Large deck with views Two private off street parking spots Other things to note NOISE Events, loud music and noises, and parties are strictly prohibited. Please be respectful of your noise levels. FIRES Estes Park nearly burned to the ground in 2020, so outdoor fire pits are now illegal here in short term rentals. Also, no smoking inside or out due to the location on a windy hillside. BEARS Do NOT leave food in your car! Bears frequent this area and can break in! PETS Dogs are allowed but they MUST be included on the reservation at booking. No other pets are allowed. MINUT We use a Minut noise meter. It doesn\`t record audio, but instead monitors decibel levels, temperature and humidity. This is for the safety of guests & to protect the home. It also serves to warn us about parties & prevent noise complaints from neighbors. We try a new place each time. This was one of the cleanest places we have stayed in. The only semi complaint is the pictures made it look more remote than it is.
