![Plum Island Lighthouse protects the delta of the Merrimack River, and was commissioned for the first time in 1788 with a lantern that burned whale oil. Its current form dates from the year 1898. In 1927 it began to work with electricity and was automated in 1952. As you can see the light it emits is green.
The lighthouse's surroundings are always accessible and the structure itself is open some days a year. There is a big public parking lot just crossing the street from the lighthouse.

« We had a wonderful 1 week stay at the Old Corner Inn! We loved the location. It was less then 2 hours to the train and had great parking! The innkeeper Mike was so friendly and wonderful! He helped us plan our excursions! He went out of his way to make sure our trip was wonderful and special »

"Accueil la dame super gentille. Juste fait check in et quitter pour une activité. A notre arrivée nous voulions écouter la tv aucune tv. Descendu au lobby, et 1 employé, ne peut quitter son poste, va laisser une note pour demain.... 1 autre chambre aussi c'est plein du même problème. Demain je quitte, l'employer a dit ne pouvoir rien faire. Résultats dans la chambre a rien faire,,,, "
