I dont know why ppl not satisfied w this hotel but our family love it n definitely come back. Very clean n roomy for myself n my 4 children. The staffs were very helpful. Quiet n great location; convenient for everything; walking distance. The breakfast is not that perfect but it's good of what we were looking for cereal; toasted bread n waffles; coffee; milk; juices. This is great for our early morning breakfast! You guys are awesome! Thank you!
I knew that I was getting a discount hotel when I booked so I wasn't too surprised that it didn't come with a fridge or microwave (it was stated in the description). But, I was hoping the A/C worked, it wasn't working the first night of my stay. I had to leave it on all day and night to get it to cool down my room. I went to sleep sweating.
The staff was helpful and nice but they were limited to what they could do for me. I did appreciate them trying as much as they could.
Overall, it was a decent room and a decent price. Free parking (enough parking even when you get back late at night) and a bunch of places to eat around the hotel.

Motel 6 Escondido is located 30 minutes north of San Diego and walking distance to area restaurants. Lake Wohlford and Wild …More
We stayed 2 nights and we found this place to be an exellent place to get away from it all, the staff was friendly and Profecional, the rrom was clean and comfortable, the pool and hot pools are clean and in good condition, good for family vacations, I defenetely recommend this Resort.
It was a bit expensive for what it was, honestly, 60 dollars more and i could have gotten a better room in a different hotel,
but it was decent, the room was comfortable and it seemed and smelled cleaned, we stayed in a non smoking room. But the location in terms of traffic was bad, there is a lot of traffic in that spot, we would be waiting more than 5 minutes to get out onto the street.
This hotel is across the street from two large malls wth lots of places to eat and to buy anything you need. Parking was simple and I don't think there were any spaces that were more than a very short distance from an entrance.
Our room was surprisingly large for the price and a had a full sized couch. There was a tiny, but useable balcony. The bathroom was clean and stocked with the usual coffee, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and soap.
We will definately stay there again.
Escondido's agricultural roots thrive in the city's wineries. East of town, important research takes place amid the safari setting at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. There, researchers work to save endangered animals, such as giant pandas, cheetahs, and rhinos. Casinos line the road that leads to the Palomar Observatory. Open to the public, its centerpiece is the 200-inch Hale telescope.
