This VRBO easily sleeps 14 comfortably; we had 11 in our group with each group having their own bathroom. Rooms were all very spacious, comfortable beds and the environment was always perfect temp. The outdoors had plenty of seating with tables to eat outside and enjoy the cool mountain air. We also enjoyed the covered dance floor with the party lights glowing and the heated lamp to keep the chill off all the while jamming to our playlist music via our Bluetooth device dancing the night away and reminiscing all those good ole family growing up days and solving the world problems . We definitely highly recommend this VRBO to enjoy for your family/friends hangout. VRBO does not disappoint. Becca is a great host; very communicative and there for you should you have questions or need help with anything. We were surprised to learn that the historic home was built around 1870 by the same Sheriff Brady who encountered Billy the Kid. The spacious home served as our clean, comfortable and well-appointed base from which we visited the White Sands, Cloudcroft, the Inn of the Mountain Gods, historic Lincoln, Smoky Bear museum, and informative Fort Stanton. Not only was the home itself a delight, but every day we were entertained by the abundant wildlife there. We woke up and enjoyed our coffee to elk, Barbary Sheep, javelinas, peacocks, and wild turkeys all around us. It was like being in the center of a nature preserve. But best of all was our gracious and accommodating hostess, Becca. She paid attention to every detail, from the snacks in the kitchen to the board games hung on the wall. She ensured our stay was perfect and took care of everything we needed. We highly recommend Walnut Grove Ranch for your vacation experience, and we hope to get to come back ourselves again soon. ##### Donald Y. The area is beautiful and secluded. It has a large number of beds and a seats and a very functional kitchen. I feel like there's two types of house rentals: the ones that are clearly just a minimally stocked place that hasn't had humans living there at length for years, and then rentals that feel lived in and loved, and has tons of small things. This house is very much in the latter better group. The house itself is covered in beautiful history and is very comfortable. The scenery and the house are just so beautiful I cannot express in words. I have five teenagers and they all had a blast exploring the property and learning all the history about the house and just Lincoln in general. Becca is the best host ever and was very responsive to any and all questions we had. We will definitely be planning another stay for much longer next time. ##### Sara R. There were 14 of us that consisted of three families. 6 adults and 8 kids (ages from 1-13). The home is very large and set-up in a way that we never felt crowded! It was extremely accommodating and the price is fantastic. Becca, the owner of the property, is so sweet and eager to assist with any and allllllll our questions (We had a lot) 😬. We hiked up the mountain on the property, fed the wild peacock’s and turkeys, enjoyed watching the Ram’s with their new baby’s, and the hogs at night were neat! We are from South East Texas, and it was definitely worth the 12 hour drive. Ski Apache is just a short drive and the kids LOVED that experience.
