Sleeping was tough. AC unit was making a loud whining noise. Bed was not comfortable. Hallways always seemed to smell. Neighboring rooms were loud. Odd that the pantry in the kitchen is open to the closet in the bathroom.

Power was out at check in so we made arrangements at another hotel across the highway where the power was on. Hotel then refused to reimburse me because they said the power came back on within three hours lol. So what? Are we supposed to hang out in the lobby until the power comes back on? They said they couldn’t make key cards or do anything because the data and power were out. It’s outrageous to think anyone would sit in a hotel lobby with a bunch of other people and wait for the electricity to come back on. They even said they have no idea when power would be restored.

I apologize that we were not able to accommodate you during the recent power outage. Unfortunately, we were all affected by the storm and high winds. The power outages were sporadic and unpredictable.

Room was nice but needs updating. Bathroom outlet didn’t work & body wash dispenser had fallen off the shower. The elevator was really in need of a broom.

The Suite was well equipped with everything you would need if you were staying for an extended time. The breakfast was great. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were i and out for just 1 night but it was fine.

The Happy Place, and everyone is very kind

I was across the street from the Millcreek Mall. There was Giant Eagle nearby. The room had a full-size refrigerator. The room was stocked with eating utensils. It was clean, spacious, and well-furnished. The only complaint I could find was that the televisions weren't intelligent televisions.

For a Marriott and for the price of the suite ($300+) we expected more. I understand suites are more expensive than a normal room and I am fine paying for that, it was the condition of the room we felt was lacking. First, it was nice to have a kitchenette with larger fridge, an oven, table and microwave plus living room area. What I didn’t love was the bubbling paint and damaged wall in the bathroom, the missing pieces of wall near the light switch and musty and dampness in the room. These weren’t things that we noticed right away, just became aware of them during our stay. The breakfast, while I hate to complain about that, because it’s free, was just OK. Typical selection of waffles, cereal, and yogurt, but the eggs tasted like they were made from powder, and had a very weird texture. The area around the hotel is good with shops and restaurants to explore. Overall the stay was OK and there weren’t many suites in Erie with the dates we needed, so this did the trick, however, I do not feel the value was there due to the condition of the room. I will say though that every staff member we encountered was very nice and friendly!

The parking lot to get into the lot for the hotel was severely damaged by potholes. I also had to leave early because i broke out in hives while staying, either from the soap or the detergent on the sheets. Kind of disappointed that i had to cut my trip short.

While generally clean, the overall feel was rather dated appearance. We had a reservation for a three person suite, but had to chase down linens for the sofa bed. The entry road and parking lot were full of large and deep potholes. Finally the location behind a shopping center, with the front of the hotel facing a cinderblock wall was rather odd. The staff member who checked us in was friendly, the person who we finally got the missing linens from was surley and seemed inconvenienced that we would actually want what we reserved for.
