« The pub is in a fabulous position, the room we had was good and the staff friendly and helpful. Where it fell down was at dinner. I was there with my wife for our 56th wedding anniversary and was hoping for an excellent experience but the service was poor, I had to go up to the bar and ask for a menu after waiting for some time. Again I had to ask for someone to take our order, my second drink was waiting on the bar and I had to retrieve it myself. When food eventually arrived (rack of ribs)...

« Made little use of facilities as we were out most of the time. Room was rather small & needed artificial light. On arrival the room was unbearably hot & it took some time for the fan to have any effect. In fact we had to keep the fan all night. The coffee from the machine was undrinkable. »

« Loved the location directly opposite Livermead beach. Beautifully presented hotel. Enjoyed sipping drinks at the roof top terrace watching the sunset. Delicious breakfast and very comfortable bed, made for a fabulous stay. Would definitely recommend to others looking to visit Torbay and the English Riveria. »

« Had a lovely night away. Room was clean and nice to have a fridge with fresh milk for coffee etc. Breakfast was delicious and lots of choice. Outside areas are great for relaxing and nice to have an outside pool. In a quiet area but within walking distance to the beach, train station and town. Great hosts. Would definitely recommend. « Lovely building and really helpful owners / staff . Was really clean and tidy and the breakfast was very good . Only a couple of minor things really , the shower head kept dipping down so was a bit of pain when you were shampooing etc . Bit noisy at night time but obviously the very nice owners can’t help that . »

Very very hot fan was supplied but did absolutely nothing (it was the hottest few days) Only one window could open and that was a maximum of 3 inches We will book again but study the facilities much closer . Slightly misleading when you read the descriptions where it says "hotel apartments" Staff were very friendly and cheerful »
