The short walk to the ocean was a daily event. We found shells and shark teeth! The sunsets on the ocean were great. My husband and I spent a week at mermaids retreat and absolutely loved it! We took full advantage of the kayaks and went out on the bay multiple times. Beach access was easy to find and not far away at all. The space was perfect for two of us and it was well stocked with all the things you need from coffee to beach chairs. Stayed in the Mermaid Retreat. Quiet location, on the bay with easy access to the beach across the street. The place was clean and the pool was a perfect addition. Not a lot to do on Manasota Key but if you’re looking to just relax, this is the place. Be sure to try all the restaurants on the key.We hit the perfect week with not a lot of people there.
