Das Zimmer ist im 50er/60er-Jahre-Stil eingerichtet. Die Zeit scheint hier dtehengeblieben zu sein, zumindest mit den Investitionen. Das Zimmer roch sehr muffig. Die Betten/Bettwäsche waren feucht und musste ausgetauscht werden, da sich alles sehr unangenehm auf der Haut angefühlt hat. Sorry, aber das kann man heute nicht mehr zur Unterkunft anbieten. Zum Glück waren wir nur auf der Durchfahrt. Der Vermieter war zwar sehr nett und zuvorkommend und das Frühstück sehr frisch zubereitet und ausreichend, aber das hat die schlechte Übernachtung leider nicht wett gemacht. Die Gaststätte im Haupthaus war leider geschlossen. Leider merkte man schnell, das nicht wirklich geputzt worden war. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir zuerst nicht wirklich empfangen, obwohl jm. aus der Gastgeberfamilie auf der Terrasse war.Wir mussten selbst im Regen nach dem unscheinbaren EIngang suchen. Und ein komplett verdunkeltes Zimmer wirkt beim Hereinkommen nicht einladend. But the owner is fun and welcoming, it's quiet, despite being close to railroad (German trains are really quiet, and there are very few of them). The location is nice and rustuc, albeit 40 min from Koln, close to a lake. Very few cars, quiet. Good breakfast. Try to get to it before dark, as Google sends you down a winding road, not a comfortable drive at night. Would recommend. Affordable B&B guest home. It is a nice area except you won't be able to get there without a car. The host is a very nice and friendly gentleman and willing to accommodate our late arrival. Breakfast is great, one of the best in my trip. Bewirtung war sehr gut und angenehm. Familiäre Stimmung gaben allem das gewisse etwas. Das Bett war richtig bequem und ich leide momentan an Rückenschmerzen, aber nach der Nacht, waren sie nahezu verflogen!!! Vi kan varmt anbefalede dette hotel, så længe at man tager det som det er.. We were not disappointed. Fortunately, we had a Sat-Nav guide us to the hotel which is located off the main road in a quiet, rural setting. Our room was comfortable, if a bit overcrowded with furniture. The owners of the hoyel were extremely friendly and welcoming. We ate that evening in the hotel and were provided with an excellent, typically german meal. I couldn't help thinking that the room was too cramped and cheaply built for modern standards, especially for the money. For a quick overnight stay it was acceptable, but there are better options nearby. The worst bit was, having arrived at 2200, feeling under pressure to have an early breakfast (we finally negotiated 0800), and then sort of being pushed out straight afterwards (we managed to beg a half hour to have a short walk around the village, and were gone by 0900). This "hotel" is merely the upstairs bedroom of some guys house. And because it was so hot there at the time, the temperature was unbearable! We had to climb many sets of awkward stairs, through his house to get to the room, which by the way, was last furnished in 1982! Would never, ever stay there. Innehavaren gör en väldigt god schnitzel väldigt billigt. Trevlig personal. God frukost.
