The Hotel Schweizerhof is reminescent of a classic old Belle Époque era hotel with a great street presence. It is conveniently located a block from the train station and close to lots of restaurants and bars. The bus to Titlis ski slopes is also a block away, but you can also walk there in 10 minutes. Only disappointment was that the room was a bit dated and could use a refresh. The breakfast was decent but not exceptional. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, it is a good hotel and reasonably priced for the quality and location.

Hotel is extremely old, not updated at all. Beds are very uncomfortable. Very limited parking. Shower was like a closet. Dirty , hair inside and mold on the wall and door was rusty. Bed very hard. There’s better options.

This is a very family-friendly hotel. After an entire day of excursions, my kids would play in the common area as the hotel had a bunch of toys and books for kids. We appreciated this thoughtfulness which we didn't experience anywhere else. The breakfast options were very good, and the server was very prompt. The room was big, neat, and had an amazing view.

We had a great time here in Schweizerhof Engelberg. We were on a higher floor with great view of the mountains. The breakfast was amazing. The staff at the reception and at the breakfast did an amazing job. If you are visiting to see Titlis, the bus leaves from about 100 yards from the property or you can walk to the Titlis gandola station in leas than 15 minutes on a leisurely pace

Extremely dated room that needs to be renovated
The room given to us is extremely dated, fabrics are falling off from sofa and the floor is already damaged. Glasses are not even provided in the room. Front desk staff are impatient and do not try to help with guests requests. Breakfast is ok and beds are sleepable.

It doesn't get any closer to the slopes! Also, right in the middle of the town and less than 5 minutes walk from the train station. Super convenient, and very nice!!

3-day-stay at Engelberg
Friendly staff. The quickly put in an extra bed for a visitor on my request. Staff personally guided me through the gym at the hotel (the gym is very small and has only the very basics). Hotel is located about 1 min walk from the train station which was convenient for me as I had several pieces of luggage when I arrived. Something I liked in particular about the hotel was the relaxed area at the entrance where they keep some travel magazines and board games.

Location was great. Close to both cable lifts and train station. Walking distance to everything. Front desk and staff very friendly and helpful. My only negative would be it could use some updating.

Convenient for ski-bus to either of the skiing areas (100m walk). Owner was helpful / pleasant. Late arrival in the evening was no problem. Car parking conveniently situated right next to the hotel. Single rooms were functional 3 star standard, but fine for a weekend stay. Central location in the village, near the station.

2 mins walk from Engelberg Station. Friendly and helpful hotel staff. Coop and Migros supermarket 5 mins walk away. Clean and cosy rooms. Food in restaurant is delicious and resonably priced.

Nice hotel in heart of Engelberg.
It is in heart of Engelberg, very close to mount Titlis cable car station. Indian and other restaurants are closeby. Spacious Parking. Good breakfast. Nice Hotel.

Very nice hotel with mountain view
Hotel is 2 minutes walk from train station and free bus is available from train station to Mount Titlis base cable car station. Room was clean and heater was working perfect. Great view from room.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Excellent location in the centre of Engelberg, close to the train station, shops, and bus routes. Room was very large with a mountain view at a reasonable price. Generally quite clean, however my fridge and hairdryer did not work. Overall it was a very easy stay. Thanks!

The Hotel is very well located and very peaceful too. Only the servicing needs to improve because it is understaffed and also the staff at reception is not courteous.

Great hotel in the center of town
Absolutely recommend this hotel if staying in a Engelberg. The hotel was a great place to spend two nights in Engelberg and is located in the center of town, about a 3 minute walk from the train station and a 12 minute walk to the cable car up to Mount Titlis (free shuttle from the train station if preferred). My room had a lovely balcony complete with flowers and a great view. The staff at the front desk and at breakfast were both very friendly. I hope to get the chance to stay at this hotel again in the future.

The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our room was large with a balcony that provided a beautiful view of the Alps. We ate at the restaurant which was fantastic.Location was perfect, less than a 5 minute walk to the train and town. It was a wonderful stay and I highly recommend this hotel.

Fabulous Swiss village to visit
We had a great stay at this hotel. Breakfast was fabulous and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our corner room on the first floor was roomy and very comfortable and the bathroom was modern and superbly clean. Probably the only down side for us was the dining room was not open as it was the off season for skiing ie., summer. This presented a bit of a problem because there really is not a lot of choice in the village plus you had to go out to eat even if you did not want to. It also would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room, there was a small bar fridge but no wine glasses. The cost for 2 cups of tea in the afternoon after a day out was 7.20 Swiss francs!!! Quite excessive. There is a big construction project happening across the road but it did not interfere with our stay at all as we were out during most of the day sightseeing. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to it to others.

Beautiful hotel just steps away from the train station, but very quiet! I was given a family room, although traveling alone, as it wasn't a busy day. Heavenly views from the enormous terrace! Check in and check out was a breeze, with friendly Swiss man who speaks English perfectly. Breakfast was adequate. I loved that a table by the window had been reserved and had my name on a placard. Nice touch. You will pay a 5 franc surcharge to have a kettle in your room, with coffee and tea, cream and sugar. It was worth it to me. But breakfast starts early, so you might want to skip the kettle and go to breakfast where excellent coffee will be brought to the table. Engelberg is a delightful village with all the Swiss charm you would expect, plus an amazing Indian restaurant!

Wonderful hotel in Engelberg
Everything about our stay was perfect; from checking in early to the rooms and the choice at breakfast. We chose this hotel for its proximity to the slopes, but were very pleased with the service and friendliness. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay there again!

The hotel was good but there was no food available until you order beforehand. Only breakfast was. Also, we booked for family but still there were single duvets given to us not double. No reception after 11 pm was also a negative. No kettle in the room. Apart from all this, the stay was Gooood.

amazing family holiday in a wonderful hotel
Excellent friendly hotel , supportive team, i liked the room with balcony for relaxation and nice view.in the centre. Just little thing they should look at is the breakfast more variety would be better. Parking available for free,excellent wi fi in the room . Thank to Adrian who made our stay wonderful.
