The Space: With views of the magnificent Pacific Ocean right from the home’s third floor covered balcony, you will stay connected to both sun and surf whether you’re spending fun-filled days at the beach or finding some downtime in one of the home’s many comfortable living spaces. A large and private garden surrounds you outdoors, with lush native greenery offering serene and shaded spaces. Patios on the ground and second floor are equipped with ample seating and dining options whether you’re looking to take a meal al fresco or simply bathe in the sun or shade while catching up on your reading. When you’re ready to head down to the sand, you are just one mile away from the beach, making trips back and forth as breezy as the ocean air. Inside the home, a bright, open floor plan provides unlimited opportunities for you and your guests to find your own private corner to unwind, yet blend seamlessly with spaces to gather and stay connected. Two separate living spaces offer plentiful sofa and armchair seating surrounding smart TVs for an immersive movie night or perhaps a quiet afternoon nap. The generous, well-equipped kitchen is bordered by two separate dining rooms should you choose to take your meals indoors. The first with seating for 8 and facing double-door access out to the patio, and the other with seating for an additional 6\. Bedrooms #1 and #2 both include a queen size bed. They share a Jack and Jill bathroom which features a single vanity and walk-in shower. Bedroom #3 includes a king size bed and private access to the patio. Bedroom #4 includes a king size bed and ensuite bathroom with a dual vanity and shower/tub combo. The home also includes an additional full bathroom with a single vanity and walk-in shower, as well as a half bathroom. THINGS TO NOTE: Washer and dryer in home. Driveway parking is available for up to 3 vehicles, and garage parking for up to 2 vehicles. The house was much larger than we expected and had several pleasant patios. It was very quiet and had spaces for everyone to relax. The bedrooms are all downstairs but the entire first floor smelled of mildew. We weren't sure if the mildew smell emanated from the washing machine or something in the housekeeping closet. There were dehumidifying things around the first floor, so perhaps this is an ongoing issue in a house of a coastal town. The master bedroom memory foam mattress was too soft and sagged on one side. Upstairs seemed more updated and didn't smell of mildew, though not all the stove burners worked at the same time. We ended up ordering take out and going out to eat due to the stove. The contact person was responsive but there wasn't anything to be done during our 3 night stay. The house is just like it's advertised. The town of Encinitas is so cute and it's just a few shorts minutes to the beach. The house is well stocked, so it makes making meals at home so much easier. And they had beach accessories available as well. One big take away I hope they do, is the house is in desperate need of hooks in all the bathrooms. Since the house is so close to the beach, the rooms can feel damp, which doesn't help in drying towels after showering, so it was a bit frustrating when there was no place to hang anything - from hand towels to larger hooks for the larger bath towels.
