Our guests love experiencing small living and just how it can be done without feeling the lack of stuff. This rental is perfect for a weekend getaway or maximum 10 day stay. Walk down a sloped pathway, unattached from our main house, to your own private paradise. (Not suitable for a wheelchair or for someone with challenging mobility issues) Just a short 11 minute walk will take you to Moonlight Beach with surfing, swimming, fire pits, snack bar & bathrooms. Have fun walking through our fabulous Downtown Encinitas which is filled with local eateries, brew pubs and coffee houses. Adjacent to us is Cottonwood Creek Park if you like pickleball, tennis or relaxing on the grass. Although little, this house feels spacious with its vaulted ceiling, large picture window and a double sliding glass door which opens out onto a nice deck, expanding your sense of space. It has a fully outfitted kitchen, sitting area with fireplace, nice size bathroom and a comfy queen size bed for two. Watch Netflix or Amazon on the 42" flat screen Smart TV. This mini cottage provides all the amenities of a larger home, but in an immaculate smaller space. The shed adjacent to the house can be used for storage of larger items, luggage -surfboards, etc.. The landscaping encourages you to be outdoors surrounded by palms, fruit trees and succulents. Enjoy your coffee on the deck in the mornings and fire up the Weber grill for dinner at sunset. For happy hour sit on cushioned chairs around the fire table under the lit gazebo listening to your own music. The house itself was incredibly clean and had anything you could want, the outside area was our favorite part to sit and have a drink before we made our way downtown which was only a short walking distance, we utilized the bikes to get to the beach as well! The interior is like living on a boat, but with ten foot ceilings! I can't speak for large people, but for average size folk this worked out great. Easy walk to beach and the bikes (beach cruisers with gears) worked well. Encinitas has a nice beach and great restaurants and shopping. Coaster Train station is a ten minute walk. ##### Katie M. My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this wonderful property. We especially enjoyed the outdoor dining area and fire pit with comfortable rocking lounge chairs. We even tried a few puts on the putting green! the property was immaculate and they thought of everything. Even the ironing board and iron were conveniently stored behind the bathroom mirror. Great lighting all around the paths and property so it was easy to spend a lot of time outdoors. Bed was very comfortable, great and plentiful towels and the location cant be beat! I felt so at home with a very cozy bed and the outdoor fire pit. The tiny home was so well organized and laid out with everything needed (the bikes were fun to ride to the beach as well!). The outdoor area was phenomenal for comfort and sitting around talking, drinking coffee. I would've been content just hung out there for days! Thanks so much for sharing your home! The attention to detail and the layout of the house were amazing. Every space within the home is expertly designed for storage, bedding, etc and the outside area with chairs, firepit, table/umbrella make this a very enjoyable place to stay. The home is within a 10 minute walk to downtown Encinitas and moonlight beach. There is also a nice park with pickleball courts with a two minute walk. Doug and Marianne are very nice and interesting to talk with. We will definitely stay here again when our travels take us back to the area. ##### jim p. They have thought of everything for their guests' comfort, including leaving a wagon at the parking spot for transporting goods and luggage to the house. We accidentally left some hiking poles in the unit, and they have bent over backwards to figure out how to mail them back to us economically. Communication was great throughout.
