We enjoyed our stay very much! It was so peaceful and quiet. This was a very needed/relaxing weekend!! We are hoping to make staying here a yearly thing. They owner was so nice and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we could possibly need.

Wonderful screened in porch
My sisters and I used the screened in porch more than the anything else at this location. Great listening to the light rain fall and stay dry, as well as talk into the night without bugs getting to us. The property was fantastic, secluded and an absolutely beautiful lake. The interior was clean, and the kitchen a very good size. We couldn’t swim because algae had started to come in, as is normal for August. Please note; the window screens, screened in porch, the deck facing the lake and the dock could use some “professional” repairs; the pictures don’t show the current age of these things. I would come back the next time I needed to recapture my serenity!
What a great place to stay! The property was decently secluded to where we had a private lake entrance and backyard area! The host was very helpful and responsive to us. The cabin was cozy and fit all 5 of us very comfortably. Would visit again! :)
Our family had a great experience and the owner was very nice and friendly. We had a quiet stay and talked briefly with the neighboring visitors. There was lot of room outside to explore and the cabin was roomy enough for everyone to have some down time and take a nap ;)
The cabin is lovely. A lot of charm. They have done a terrific job with the cabin We had a great weekend. Deborah was terrific to work with. We would definitely stay again.
Nice, simple cabin with great porches and a BEAUTIFUL view. It was a perfect place to have a short get-away for my wife and me. (It would work well as a place to bring the family as well.) We enjoyed canoeing, hiking nearby, sitting in the hammock, and relaxing on the porches. I am sending the link to friends.

Disliked: Cleanliness
I loved the location. The view was beautiful, and the screened in porch was amazing. I loved the amenities like wifi and streaming. There were so many good things. It was nice to bring our dogs. For the price, I wish it had been cleaner. There were mice in the cabin. We arrived to find mice turds all over kitchen and on table, etc. We cleaned up and were careful not to leave out food, but we did see one the next night too, running across the kitchen counter.
A real cabin experience on a semiprivate lake. The compound has two cabins with an owner’s cabin. There are maybe three other cabins on a nice size lake. Fishing from the dock was very fun. Using the watercraft was great given the lack of traffic. The screened in porch was very comfortable with a Great Lake view. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms small but clean and the kitchen well stocked. The bedrooms have walls but are open at the ceiling for airflow. Was fine for us but could be more noisy for people with highly variable sleep schedules. Owners were there during our stay and were very friendly and helpful.

Very secluded, nice place to get away, off the grid if wanted.
We were a bit disappointed with the pull behind camper parking right out front of our cabin as well as the one vehicle rule only for your guests and not for family/friends staying on the property. Otherwise, we were very happy, very relaxed, the owners were very accommodating and the place is what was advertised. The lake was very nice. There was a rowboat, canoe and kayak for guests use. The last morning , we woke up to a group of swans having a slow swim on the lake.

Solitude and the lake
We were lucky to be the only guests on the property. We enjoyed unbelievable solitude, privacy and having the whole lake to ourselves. When bugs were bad, we spent time on the screened-in porch. Enjoyed seeing geese, loons, a muskrat and hearing owls in the woods. The Snapping Turtle cabin is a great place to unplug, no TV or internet - and none needed. Bring water shoes and industrial strength bug spray and enjoy the lake!
Myself and four friends were looking for a nice weekend get away from the cities to unwind and be in nature. This property was so beautiful, and the lake was perfect. Just being there for 2 days was quite enough to help us all feel relaxed and unwound. Good for our bodies, mind, and souls.
The owners were very accommodating and friendly, and you can feel the love and care they put into the land there.
We saw eagles, loons, heard some coyotes and it was the perfect little weekend for us. We definitely will keep this treasure in mind for our next nature adventure.
Thank you Deborah and Dave!

Beautiful cabin getaway on the lake
We enjoyed our 3 night stay at this lakefront cabin. The cabin itself was beautiful, recently renovated and comfortable but rustic looking, with a lovely deck (including gas grill) overlooking Lows lake, spacious dining area and kitchen. The property was spacious, with wooded and grassy areas, direct access to a dock, and a firepit. The owners were staying 2 cabins down from us and were very welcoming and friendly. We had easy access to a kayak and canoe for exploring Lows lake, which was blissfully peaceful and quiet (no overdevelopment, no loud motorboats or waterskiiers). The property felt remote, but not overly so, with basic amenities and shopping available just a few miles away.
We highly recommend this cabin!
My friends and I had a great time! Right on the water with decent fishing. Owners were super friendly.
As the description says, it’s a rustic cabin in the woods, so keep in mind you’ll be dealing with some pests. We had multiple kitchen items (pots and pans) that had mouse droppings on them. Not something I can knock the owners for as we were expecting this due to the nature of where we are. The cabin was very clean overall but is certainly rustic.
Something else to keep in mind is that the other cabins are right next door. This isn’t portrayed all that well so we didn’t expect the 3 to be lined up right next to each other. They were vacant so it didn’t really bother us much. But something to think about if you want total privacy.
This is just a few things that we wanted to put out for other renters. Nothing really bothered us enough to effect our stay. I would still highly recommend staying at this cabin as we had a great time.
We stayed in the main cabin for 2 weeks. The views of the lake were beautiful. And we really couldn't get enough of looking at how pretty it was.
I want to address some of the 'it is so rustic comments'. First, how I didn't find it rustic:
1)The AC is one of those little floor units and it kept the place at a reasonable temperature despite some hot days (high 80s). It was lovely to have.
2)There is, as of when we visited, a small microwave
3) Having 2 toilets can be rare for smaller cabins so it was really appreciated
4) excellent Internet via the ISP and we had good cell connection and internet with Verizon and T-Mobile. The whole two weeks the internet only dropped once for less than a minute.
5) the screened in porch has had new furniture since the photos. And it connects directly to the house which I wasn't 100% sure on from the photos. It is a welcome respite from the bugs.
6) the hosts are stellar
What makes it rustic that you might like to know about:
1) If you are a big and tall person (over 6ft2in) the main bathroom is gonna feel tight and there's a low beam at the back of the house. I'm 5ft3in and was just fine.
2) if you are a person with balance/mobility issues the floors are a little uneven
3) the beds are probably in need of new mattresses. We went out and bought foam pads since we were there for a long time.
Emily MN is close by and sports several restaurants and a wonderful little meat shop called Emily Meats.
A real grocery is about 30 min to the south.
From peaceful sunrise to spectacular sunset, and a lot of lake fun in between, we enjoyed every minute of our stay at Lows Lake!
Btw…lake was warmer than we thought. We were expecting it to take our breath away, but it was just perfect.
