This 2nd row duplex has it all. Enjoy great ocean and sound views without the oceanfront rental prices. This home is in excellent condition, with over 2000 sq. feet of living space. View the ocean or sound from every single room in the house. Walk out onto the decks, and the ocean views will take your breath away. I promise, once you have been here for a week, or two, you will never want to leave. You will wake up in the mornings, walk out onto the decks, and gaze out over the beautiful Crystal Coast. Take a deep breath and you will smell Emerald Isle's salty air. This home has four bedroom, with queen beds (all with deck/balcony access), a kids' loft/entertainment area (four twin beds), with TV/VCR/DVD. There is also a large collection of books, movies, games, puzzles, and a stereo system all there for your enjoyment. Cook all your favorite foods in the fully stocked kitchen, while you look out the window at the ocean. Dine in and entertain in the large, open living/ dining room. Watch t.v on the flat screen TV, while relaxing on the couch. Step out on the deck the take in the gorgeous views of the beach from both directions. If you watch carefully, you may even catch a glimpse of dolphin swimming by. If the sun gets too hot for you on top, stroll downstairs, where you can enjoy a covered deck that provides lots of shade. One of my favorite amenities with this home is the beach access. There is a wooden walkway directly across the street that leads you straight to the beach. This is extremely important if you are like me, with five kids and it seems like you bring everything but the kitchen sink with you. We always have so much to carry back and forth, that having the convenience of the beach access is priceless. Finally, after a fun-filled day on the beach, put the kids to bed and walk back out onto the deck. Sit back and look at the moon as it shines over the ocean. This view will just put an exclamation point on your day. Get a good night sleep and get ready to do it all over again tomorrow. I hope after reading this, you are excited about vacationing with us. The house’s outdoor shower, foot wash station, and washer/dryer on the bottom floor were all really helpful after lots of beach time. Plenty of room for cars (6) and very close to the beach! Quiet neighborhood. Yes-there are a lot of stairs. No problem for us (oldest was in late 60s) but if someone has limited mobility it wouldn’t be a best pick. Can easily see the ocean on upper floors. (Enjoy your morning coffee). All appliances were working (sad that I have to say this-our last place at Nags Head managed by a realty company had broken washer before we walked in..and was not fixed or compensated.). Very clean unit with comfortable furniture. Kitchen had all we needed including crockpot, griddle, air fryer, hot air pop corn maker and toaster oven. Great patio with ocean views and an ocean breeze to gather in the evening. There is also plenty of patio to get a little alone time. The kitchenware is standard VRBO stuff. Nothing special but there is plenty of it. Many of the glasses have hard water stains. They are clean though. The only minor issue we had is that the charcoal grill is very small. There are several sets of steps and it is kinda of exhausted to go from one level to another, so be prepared. The location is great, just a very short walk from the beach. Overall, we did enjoyed our stay, but did have some issues. The house was not ready by the time we had to check in(4pm), the cleaning ladies were in a rush still cleaning and by the time we went in we realized that it wasn’t dust well and the floors were not well cleaned. We could feel some sand on our feet and we found sand in every bathroom specially in the corners. We had to vacuum ourselves. Before leaving, cleaning crew told us that they had left the bath towels in the dryer and ask us if we could get them out for us to use. There were only seven towels for our family of twelve. The cleaning company owner realized that there were only seven and told me that he was gonna bring the rest in the morning. Well, it was 10:30am the next day and the towels weren’t being delivered yet, so I got in touch with the property manager and after a while the rest of the towels were delivered. It’ll be great if every bed had a blanket just in case it’s needed. One last thing, I don’t understand why charge so much in cleaning and linen fees if we basically leave the house clean with all the rules posted to follow.
