"The was the CLEANEST house we've ever stayed in. Cleanliness is one of our top requirements. The house seemed brand new and was spotless. Communication before, during and after checkout was spectacular. If we're ever in the Saint Louis / Troy area, we will be staying again. They also had TVs in every room and ping pong/foosball was an extra surprise for us! We highly recommend The Chicken Coop!"

We felt welcome and accommodated she consistently was available if needed while also being cognizant of privacy for her guest as well . It couldn’t have been a more beautiful experience. Farm Stay in Illinois with Private Fishing Pond

"I have been to many different unique rentals, but this one has been one of the best stays I've ever had. First off, the location and setting of Kamaroo farms is fairytale like and beautiful. The rolling hills, forests, and seclusion was what we were hoping to find. The pictures of the location does not give it justice, much more beautiful in person. I had chosen to stay here to take my animal loving girlfriend for her birthday. The moment we arrived was surreal, all the animals are doing amazing, happy, and healthy. It was like a movie, they all were so friendly and very well taken care off. Tammy and Mike were the most amazing hosts, so welcoming, thoughtful, and helpful. Tammy gave a short lesson on how to use the 4x4 utility vehicle and how to navigate up to the cabin. The cabin sits elevated looking down on the whole farm. A beautiful view to enjoy on the covered porch, which we did lots of, you can see all the animals from up there too. Tammy had given us such an amazing tour of all their animals and we were able to feed and pet many of them. The animals are all so amazingly cared for and it shows by how happy they all were. I was also blown away by how amazingly nice all the living quarters were for all the animals, and especially how clean. It was just a perfect weekend, we were hoping to disconnect, get one with nature, and see some beautiful animals, and Kamaroo knocked it out of the park. Highly, highly recommend staying at this incredible place."

"We have stayed at many VRBO's and have never found one as clean and well-cared for as this one. Cozy historic home - super cute but with everything you need - comfortable beds, great shower with lots of hot water, excellent appliances, large TV with lots of streaming choices, well-stocked kitchen, good washer/dryer. Host is super responsive and helpful. We enjoyed the beach at Lake Lincoln in the nearby state park (15 mins) and the shops on the Main Street (historic buildings). Walmart was very close so shopping was convenient too. Truly an excellent week and we will absolutely return. Thank you!"
