Your family will have peace and feel quite remote, though the resort amenities and local activities are only a few minutes away. Parking is at the top level, but just wait! 3 levels with 3 decks spanning the back of the house unfold on the other side with a loft above the main level. 500 mbps WiFi sped with extenders on each level. Dedicated work space. 2,400+ square feet of living space. Built in 2005. Movie room, popcorn maker, hot tub, fire pit, indoor gas fireplace (fall and winter), 3 decks, grill, patio table, hammock. 4 sleeping areas, sleeps 8: 3 bedrooms (king, queen, bunk bed) each have smart TVs and deck access. Open Loft with AC unit sleeps 2 additional on 2 twin beds. 2 full bathrooms. Full laundry room. Fully furnished and beautifully equipped with all the essentials- linens, towels, and cookware, kitchen towels, place mats, hot pads, dishes and cooking tools and grill tools ensuring a hassle free stay. Starter consumable items such as toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, trash bags, sponge, hand and dishwasher and laundry soap. ++++++++++++ The bottom level boasts the movie room with 65-inch smart TV, surround sound and gaming system. Enjoy relaxing in leather recliners on riser seating while eating popcorn fresh from the theater style popcorn maker. An electric fireplace makes the setting cozy and can help warm the room in fall/winter. The hot tub is on this walk out deck or make s’mores in the evenings while sitting around the firepit. 2 bedrooms, laundry, full bathroom and deck accessible from both bedrooms occupy the middle level. Queen bedroom with smart TV and deck access. Bunkbed room sleeps 3 (twin over full) also has a smart TV. Toys, books and board games for the family. Sneak out and relax on the outdoor deck swing and chairs while listening to the breeze and birds in the trees. The upper-level deck wraps around both sides of the house and across the back. This level includes the fully equipped open kitchen, dining space, living room, master bedroom with attached full bathroom. This level has vaulted ceilings and lots of light! There is French door deck access from the living area with a grill and patio dining table outside. The master suite has a king bed, full attached bathroom, deck access and a hammock. The cabin was clean and roomy and the location was absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed some days in town exploring and some days just relaxing together in the cabin. My teenagers loved the movie room! Everything was exactly as it was promised. The hot tub was perfect for the young adults and the movie room was such an added bonus for the whole family! Real movie seating with popcorn and hundreds of movies to choose from. That was such a cozy spot to relax after hiking all day! The hosts were always available if we needed anything! We are a family of 5 (kids ages 9-14) and this was perfect. Everyone had enough space inside to play games and relax. The wildlife was beautiful. Deer, squirrels and fireflies. Owners are super responsive and provided help and suggestions. Restaurants, Walmart, Aldi, and Appalachian Beverage are about 15-20 mins away. ##### Cindy H. Our property manager was excellent! We even had a scavenger hunt with a special prize for completing it which was very special. It was also nice because they kind of had their own space on the second level. My husband and I enjoyed seeing all the deer and being eye level with many birds from the back porch. When we did our usual search for a fall vacation home, we narrowed it down to three. Gladstone Getaway won the debate between my wife and I and our two boys. Once entering through the secure gated entrance, it takes about another ten minutes to access the property. Great place! The owners, Bob & Andi are super friendly, very quick to respond and very welcoming. We love the house, There is so much to enjoy there, we just didn't have time to enjoy everything. With that in mind, we'll definitely be coming back. Loved the movie room, great spot for some football watching! Or movies... We like that the house is secluded and don't have to worry about traffic passing by, especially when the kids were outside playing. ##### Cale S. It was a great pick for us (ages 28-33, no children, one dog—small reunion for friends who haven’t seen each other all at once in a few years), but it would be an excellent choice for a family as well. The cabin and surrounding property is well-maintained; there’s plenty of space both indoors and outdoors; and the kitchen is well-equipped and clean. Bob and Andi were proactively communicative, helpful, and courteous in helping us make our stay as full as possible. We’re very grateful for their hospitality, and we hope others have an opportunity to enjoy a stay at their cabin! ##### Zachary G. My family and I stayed in this beautiful cabin over Thanksgiving week to get away from the craziness of work and school. The cabin is secluded and very quiet. It was a wonderful place for our family of 5 to spend time together, but also allowed space to spread out. With 3 cozy bedrooms, 2 full baths and a beautiful theater room (with a popcorn maker!) we had plenty of space for everyone to find a little quiet time when needed. The kitchen was clean and very well stocked with cookware and quite a few pantry staples (basic spices, flour, sugar, etc). I was able to make a lovely Thanksgiving meal for my family and there were plenty of storage containers for the leftovers. Communication with the host was very good, they responded quickly to all of our questions and were very helpful with recommendations on places to visit while we were there. They even had a fun scavenger hunt for the kids to do in the cabin on a rainy day. I definitely recommend this cabin to any families looking for a quiet, comfortable getaway with a beautiful view. We will be back! 2 things to know/consider before you stay: the steps are very steep so if you have very young children you will need to take that into consideration. Also, there is no trash service at the cabin so you have to load all of the trash into your vehicle and drive it about 3-4 miles to the collection center, and pay a small fee for it. This was not terribly inconvenient but something to be aware of, especially if you don't like the idea of transporting garbage in your car. ##### Julie M.
