Welcome to Deer Haven, a beautiful, fully furnished, modern but cozy mountain cabin nestled in the quaint Walnut Mountain community. True to it's name, this area is home to many white tail deer and it is not uncommon to see them while at the cabin. The cabin has a fresh new look and feel and has been designed with beauty and comfort in mind. Privately situated on a large lot, the cabin offers families and friends a great space to re-connect, relax and make some memories. The spacious great room has a gas log fireplace to take the chill off and create some ambiance whether you are just relaxing with a great book or getting settled in to enjoy a good movie. The king master has it's own private bath along with access to the side porch with a bistro style table to enjoy that first morning cup of joe or your favorite night cap before a great night's rest. Downstairs has a large sectional sofa, a large flat screen TV, perfect for watching movies or the "Game". There is also a foosball table, board games, wine cooler along with another queen bedroom and full bath on this level for your enjoyment and comfort. So if you are looking for a great cabin, Deer Haven may just be your ticket! Upon arrival we could tell the cabin had been closed up & not used for sometime. It didn’t appear to have any pre check in clean up. The bathroom toilet handle was broken. I immediately contacted the rental company & got disconnected several times. Finally got in contact with someone & sent photos. It was repaired the next day. Also, we notified them of a roof leak. The property manager was very responsive and prompt. I was not able to check in before their closing time so Jeannie was super helpful making sure that I would be able to do a late evening check-in without any issues. Top notch service! The only minor complaint or maybe it's just a request is that the property managers come and just do a quick sweep through of the exterior of the property to remove large and very old cobwebs near the doors and entryways. There was very large somewhat fresh cobweb right near the front door. We did managed to get creative with getting inside the front door. I don't think that's worth knocking down a full star ;). If you're staying in a cabin in the woods....it really just comes with the territory. I agree with some of the other comments that the drive up to the cabin is "rugged". If you have 4x4 or AWD and drive carefully, you shouldn't run into any issues. I would recommend and plan to book again in the very near future! ##### Katrina M. The location was peaceful and beautiful. The house was incredible. Very clean beautiful home furnished very well. More than enough supplies and amenities. The Wi-Fi was great.
