The host, Chip, was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. When we had an issue with the hot tub before our stay, he personally came out to fix it and even gave us a tour of his beautiful property next door!It’s about a 30-minute drive to groceries and other stores, but that added to the peaceful, secluded charm — exactly what we wanted for our anniversary getaway. We were excited for downtown Blue Ridge but highly preferred downtown Ellijay! It was a great town with many cute places to eat and drink. Our favorite winery was Roo Mountain! My boyfriend (now fiancé!) proposed on the back porch at sunset and it was so romantic and definitely unforgettable! We will definitely be back. My wife and I had gotten married the day before our arrival day. When we got to the cabin, a note with a celebratory bottle of wine was waiting on us from the host. The owner’s hospitality was unparalleled. We had a long list of great restaurants to eat while we stayed which was sent to us by our host. And the view!!!!!! Photos could never do it justice! The most difficult choice we had to make was should we have our coffee from the back deck or from the hot tub deck!!!. The cabin was pet friendly which was huge for us. Plenty of room and great kitchen so we could cook and just hang out and enjoy our time there. I will say that 4 wheel drive is a plus to have to get there but not a must. We will be back!!!! The cabin was so cute and cozy. I do recommend driving a truck or 4x4 as the dirt road leading up to the cabin can get steep and rough. But overall the cabin was great and communication with the owners was great. We were looking for a place to get away from Atlanta and relax in each other’s company. This place fit the bill and was wonderful. Very clean and well taken care of, big kitchen for cooking together and hanging out, massive porch to enjoy the mountain view’s from, and private hot tub to relax in and catch the beautiful sunsets. The views from the hot tub are also spectacular! This cabin is very rustic which we loved! Carmie and Chip did an amazing job with the decor in this cabin. The cabin was stocked with all of the essentials that you can think of. They even had body wash and shampoo in the shower. That definitely came in handy as we forgot to pack bar soap. The property is spectacular if you’re looking for peaceful and serene, this is it. Clean and well maintained home with well thought out staples in the kitchen. Tons of cute towns nearby and lots of things to do if you’re interested in hiking and outdoor activities, the scenic byway, and beautiful sunsets.
