I found a bedbug in my room, and when alerting staff about it was told “maybe you’re not as good at identifying bugs as you think”. When I affirmed that it was infact a bed bug, the staff member said she didn’t know what to do and I’d have to talk to the manager in the morning. I had to insist on changing rooms, and was stuck in the area due to car troubles. The next morning, the manager affirmed it was a bed bug, snd compensated my room but tried to have me pay for the following night at a discount. I insisted it also be compensated as I was exposed to bedbugs for over 24 hours and had to go through rigorous cleaning process. She agreed, thankfully. Le sigh.
They assured this had never happened before. But feeling really disappointed in the experience.
