Average; clean rooms but loud walkway
Posted 21-Sep-2015 on Hotels
Pre-booked this place for a stop during a cross-country move.
PROS: Clean, comfortable and remodeled rooms with many amenities inside (mini-fridge, microwave, etc). Staff were friendly, and checkin/checkout took less than a minute.
CONS: No breakfast (except for bruised fruit, juice, and oatmeal packets), thin walls, semi-sketchy neighborhood, tiny parking lot.
I think this place works adequately for one night, but it had some drawbacks. The walkway on the outside of the building is right above the 1st floor rooms, and you can hear every person walking up and down the walkway during the night. I slept soundly, but I'm a heavy sleeper and my partner is not. She was up half the night because of the thin walls and hearing the intermittent walking and creaking above throughout the night and morning. The parking lot was tiny and didn't accommodate our UHaul, so we had to park on the side in a not-so-well-lit area, but we also had a lock on our UHaul door, so it was fine.
The rooms were nice and felt clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly. I would rate a little higher if not for the thin walls. Reading the reviews prior to coming, we knew not to expect a real breakfast, and opted for fast food on the way out of town. Overall, not a terrible stay, but if you're a light sleeper, this is not the hotel to stay at.
